I was shocked to read of a doll my Fisher price in which people were claiming it says "Islam is the light". I ofcourse thought it was just crazy, but it piqued my curiousity so I ended up going to a Toys R Us and actually found the doll.
I wiggled it, it just said googoogaagaa baby noises. Wiggled it a second time, same thing, except you could here it say "mama". Wow this doesn't say anything like that. Wiggled it a third time, again googoogaagaa, baby noises, then out of nowhere at the end, pretty clearly, in little kid speak ofcourse says, "Islaaam is the light".
Note the 3 a's I put in Islam is to emphasize how it is said in Arabic. its is-laaam with the emphasis on laaam.
it was crazy. Please people go to your store and find one and listen to it yourself. Don't listen to the fisher price sound clip they put out. Listen to the doll itself.
But who knows I may just be absolutely crazy.

They use to sell toys that sang "Jesus loves me."

No. But I am pretty sure my sister had one when we were younger.
I know she had a jewelry box that said "Jesus is Lord" on it, bought at a store.

I agree. While I certainly agree theologically with the Jesus doll, and disagree with an Islam doll, I respect a religion's right to manufacture goods that promote their method.
I also expect that parents will live up to their responsibility to filter what their kids play with appropriately.

This is why I would like the name of the Islam doll.
I bought a Jesus Loves Me Teddy once, for our grandson. He loves squeezing the tummy to hear another child singing "Jesus loves me...this I know.."
