I don't know how many might need a screen capture utility; but, for years I've used a product called SnagIt. I received an email today about their latest version and it makes a wonderful program a spectacular program.

One of the things that makes the product nice for all users is that they have options that can be used with any photo, even if it has not been grabbed by SnagIt. But, if you are in a situation where you have to write documentation of software, etc. this one of those 'must have' tools.

I have never tried that one. I heard it is good. Here is the one I've used it's called FastStone Screen Capture and here is the link. http://www.faststone.org/FSCaptureDetail.htm

In Linux I use ksnapshot.
