Hi,

I don't post here a lot but I wanted to ask you guys if you could pray that my heart would be one full of love for people. A few friends and I went out evangelizing today at the mall and I was struck dumb. I could barely even ask people just normal conversational stuff and fought to get the charisma to even ask for a phone number to be able to follow up with people in plugging them into church and stuff. The only reason I was able to talk to anyone was because of God finding things to bring up in my mind and others to expand upon.

I want perfect love from God because that casts out all fear. I've wept for humanity before, I want that to be on my heart all the time.

Thank you!

PureLight,

I will be more than happy to pray that God will give you the right amount of boldness to evangelize and carry out His will for whatever He wants you to do. I'll also pray that your love for people will increase. Like you, I too evangelize with friends and I also give out gospel tracts. I've reminded myself of the 1 John 4:18 verse before when going out to witness to people. For me, talking to people and sharing the gospel with them is a very difficult thing. In general, I'm not a bold person to begin with and approaching strangers is a hard thing for me to do concerning any matter, let alone speaking about the gospel. Just handing out tracts to strangers had been a major victory for me. I had to conquer the fear of that and I still get nervous when I do this. I oftentimes won't hand them out to strangers unless I'm with friends or family. When I'm alone though, I will put them in strategic places where people can pick them up if they choose to. God has set up encounters for me when going out to witness to people where I would get more experience with explaining the gospel to them. For instance, strangers have asked me why I evangelize as well as other questions while I handed out tracts. Also, one time when my group was praying before we began a few hours of evangelism in a park, a woman came over who wanted to pray with us and I ended up explaining the gospel to her. God has given me needed opportunities to share the gospel. Trust me, if you want to be used for the glory of God, He will use you. I support those who strive to spread the gospel. I commend you, PureLight for wanting to reach out to the lost.
