I chose that I constantly compare myself with other women. I also tend to obsess over a certain body part(my stomach) in the mirror over and over,as well.

Obsessing over a body part in the mirror. I do that all the time, but in my case, it's several body parts.

Comparing myself with other women. This is something I REALLY do. Not for the reason that most women do though. I have an eating disorder, and I have absolutely NO IDEA of my shape. I'm always asking my friends if I look like certain women's shapes so that I can try and get a mental picture of it. Two minutes later I can be asking the same question though because I sincerely just can't get it into my head. It drives them nuts! I can't help it though.

My jeans are a little tight in the waist, so I'm guilty of squeezing myself into them. I'm constantly pulling my pants up so my tummy doesn't hang over like men with beer bellies who wear their pants below their waist. I'll check myself in the mirror to make sure it's not hanging over.

I think everyone does most of this to some extent (I don't do the last one, though). I don't consider comparing myself to others a bad habit because I choose very carefully who I compare myself to and how. Just like obsessing about a body part, I'll do that when it's something I'm working on. I compare for the sake of learning from other women and only when I am willing and able to commit to do what I need to do to get where they are (or wherever I want to be). I'll never allow my dd around things like "Cosmo" or "Vanity Fair" but I'll have muscle or fitness magazines laying around - to look like that you've got to work hard and eat right and I don't mind if she learns that.

Where's the 'all of the above' option?? Honestly I'm much better than I used to be, however, I've been guilty of all of those to an extreme at one time or another. Now about the only one I'm guilty of is squeezing into jeans...but that's more a function of not wanting to go shopping to get new ones and all the ones I have requiring squeezing...lol. I no longer define myself by my pants size or the number on a scale...but that wasn't always the case. I saw a lot in the mirror that wasn't there for years.

I also compare myself to other women. But not so much lately, because my boyfriend has assured me that I'm the most gorgeous woman on earth. Sorry, ladies. Haha!

I might do either of the first two on a given day, but I don't think I was always like that. Since my hair has been coming out and my skin disorder has gotten worse, I've been a little reclusive or going to places where no one knows me personally. It takes a long time to cover the scars with concealer, and all my hair is essentially leaving (no one knows why) but it used to be nice and healthy. I think with everything that goes on I just don't want to be seen anymore...and I certainly don't want to be this way when classes start back and I apply to grad schools (and hopefully have to go on interviews).

I am so ashamed when I picked my answer (comparing myself to other women) because i have done it my whole life. It is also something that I am trying to stop and to be happy with my self and to love the way that i look. I am also trying to lose weight so I trying to stay focused on me me me and only me (when it comes to the way i look)
