In case anyone's interested, just come across this guy: Nick Layton.

He professes to be a Christian, is a pro guitarist, and has just put out a (mostly) instrumental CD of rock/metal tunes.
It's actually pretty good, the boy can play. Clips on his website.

Reminds me of Michael Schenker in places, and there's a fair neoclassical influence as well.

Nice to know there are high caliber Christian musicians out there making a living.
