Does anyone else play Dance Dance Revolution? If so what kind of dance pad do you use? I just spent 60 dollars on what were supposed to be good ones (the hard foam kind) a few weeks ago and they are already going bad. It's as if buttons are magically being pressed all by themselves and the plastic pieces that are there to let you feel where the button is on the mat have all migrated towards the center, and I don't know how to fix them.
Anyway, this can be quite aggravating. Anyone have any suggestions? I mean besides a $200 metal pad, I am not into DDR that much!

We have it and play it, but we're still using the cheapie pad that came with the game. I'm glad you posted about the foam pad, though. I almost bought one the other day. (I'd love a metal pad, but besides being expensive, I don't want it sitting in my living room all the time!)

Yeah I'm pretty upset about those pads. I spent a lot of time online looking into what I should get, being that I have to play on carpet, and that's what most said was the best if you did not want to fork over hundreds of dollars for a metal pad.
I'm no pro at DDR, but I am just stepping up into "standard" mode and so now more than ever before I need the pad to actually WORK! There's nothing more frustrating than trying to get AA on a song you've been practicing only to have the left arrow suddenly quit accepting your steps 10 seconds before you finish!

AA? Shoot. I've only gotten a B once and it's usually Es.

Well that's what I did when I first started. I don't think I'll ever be as good as this kid though! That's INSANE!

Yes, I've watched a lot of videos like that. It makes me think that you can't get to that level without the metal pad with the hand bar, though. What do you think?

Yeah, I kinda tend to agree. You would definitly have to be able to be sure the pad is not sliding across the floor to do that. Also you would be able to move your feet a good bit faster if you're not about to fall on your face! But I don't think it's ever going to be worth it to me to have that much money invested into one game.

I'm so old and out of it I thought you were talking about East Germany at first.
