My dd is 15 and flying from San Francisco to Chicago tonight to see her dad and many of her friends that we left in Indiana.
Her dad works for the airline so that means she has to fly standby. Please pray that she won't get bumped from any flights.
She will be gone two weeks. Part of the time she will be in Indianapolis and her dad will be in Chicago. She will have adult supervision, but she'll still have to make some decisions herself that she normally doesn't make yet. Please pray that she will seek wisdom.
Please also pray that she will have fun and that my nerves won't be too wracked!

She does have a Go-phone, but I don't have any money to put any minutes on it for her right now. Praying that the child support check arrives today so that I can take care of that for her.

Well, my dd's ride to the airport backed out on me. I was able to find someone else, but it took a lot of digging to find that person. She will have to travel all the way to Chicago with no money because my unemployment has not been put on my account yet this week. (It was supposed to be there yesterday, but wasn't due to the holiday and a system crash at unemployment.)
Not only do I not have money to give her, I don't have money to give to the person who is giving us a ride. It's about a 70 mile drive (one way) and his only vehicle is a work truck that gets about 15 mpg.

I did find a way to get her a little bit of money and found another person to give her a ride in a car that got better mpg.
She did catch the first flight, but it was over an hour delayed. She sent me a text telling me that she was nervous. This is her first time flying alone!

Heavenly Father,
I pray tonight for DenimDiva's daughter's trip to visit her dad and friend's of the past. Bless her travels with attentive attendants, pleasant neighboring passengers, and calm her fears about an unnatural yet statistically the most safe way to travel. Help her connections to go fine and her luggage stay on the same plane she is on. Help her mom continue to find peace in You and some money in her possession soon.

Let's pray for DD right now:
Lord Jesus, please keep DD in your perfect protection--body, soul, and spirit--
May these two weeks be a milestone in her walk with you, Lord.
Let DD see how all her needs are met in you.
Teach DD how to hear your voice just as you taught me when I was in her shoes.
Lord, hold DD in the palm of your hand and keep her mindful of your presence and your comfort.
Soften her father's heart toward her to be the best father he can be.
Grant her mother the peace that passes all understanding that she can rest in you.
Lord, we ask all of this in your Name and for your Glory,

She said the flight was bumpy towards the end, but she made it ok. She wound up sitting next to a man who said he had a dd about her age. She said that they talked a lot and that took her mind off the flight.
I talked to her today a few hours ago. She said that she was sleeping, but she's had a good day with her dad just hanging out in Chicago.

I've been told now that it could be as late as Tuesday or Wednesday before she gets to fly home.
