I was on Monument's myspace today and noticed something. Daryl Williams is in a new picture of the group. It also looks like the bass singer from Old Time Gospel Hour is also in the picture. I dont know his name. What does that mean for the Daryl Williams Trio? Williams is a great singer but isn't he a tenor? That would mean they have three tenors in their group. Wow that would be a high sound. Does anyone know more info?

Monument Interesting, there are no scheduling conflicts between the two groups until the middle of August, then there are several. Maybe(hopefully) Daryl is just filling in for a few months. I would rather have the Daryl Williams trio in Southern Gospel than the Monument Qt in country. And Marshall claims to be the Baritone not a tenor(as per an open letter on the SoGospelNews site)

It is not Christian Davis. It does look a little like Jerry Pilgram the bass singer that followed Jeff Pearles with OTGH Qt and the last one before they disbanded. I'm not sure if it is him or not. If it is, he is sporting a beard now. However, it is certainly Daryl Williams, but I do not know if he is singing with Monumet Qt full time or not.

Yes that is Jerry pilgrim singing bass. I heard from a credible source that Daryl Williams has taken the job with them full time. He will still do a few dates with his trio but will do that around Monument's schedule. I think its great that he joined them. What a lineup of great singers and great men to take the Gospel to the world. I know they get a lot of flack for crossing over into country some but like the Gold City song "aint that what its all about?". I was a fan of theirs before but this lineup has me excited. Williams and Pilgrim are top level singers. It will be interesting to see if they become excepted more with them in the group. I mean, come on Gold City sang with the Oak Ridge Boys and even sang country songs with them but nobody is taking their name out of the book of life. Its kinda hard to ignore a group that powerpacked.
