Fess up. You find Mike Rowe shaving an Alpaca strangely fascinating.

Mike Rowe is a hero amongst men.

I like Dirty Jobs And I don't think the show would be the same without Mike. I don't get cable, so I only get to see Dirty Jobs at my in-laws house, but they love it too, so it's not a problem. My husband used to go to the gym and work out just so he could watch Dirty Jobs on the cable TV they had in the weight room

Yes, I love Dirty Jobs. I've been watching it from the beginning, and I really love the concept. It's great television to watch Mike fail.

I've never seen it, although it looks interesting. I don't want to see it though because I get grossed out too easily.

I love this show!
Watching Mike bring these outlandish jobs to light made me realize what I take for granted. For example, ...eating a hamburger...
One episode Mike was a cow feces sifter to make sure that the cow was digesting enough grains. How gross!!! And that is someone's real job! I have serious respect for that man (both of them in this instance) because I couldn't do it.

I was watching the ostrich farming episode last night.

Watching Mike try to hood and capture an ostrich (bearing in mind that these "dinosaurs" have over 500 pounds of kicking force per square inch) while briefly taking a moment to pause and say, "THEY'RE NOT RIGHT IN THE HEAD!" got a good giggle out of me.

"Dirty Jobs" is one of the best shows on television. Funny and informative.

Mike Rowe is the man.

Mike was in my hometown maybe a year ago, filming an episode where he makes candy. Lucky guy.

Yes I do like the show as well. One of the most memorable episode was when they had to move some pigs from a pig pen.

Oh yeah, I'm a big DJ fan.

And of the host, too!
<-----

It's a very informative program, I learn things I never knew, and people's jobs I never knew existed. One of my favorites is when Mike dismantled the Rose Bowl floats. I realized they'd have to be taken apart, but I couldn't imagine it was that dirty of a job. I thought it'd be disposing of mostly dried up flowers and foliage, and taking apart framework. But no, it was an awful lot of moldy and wet and totally icky materials to be dealt with. Good stuff!

I love the episode where they're up north (Alaska?) checking Canada Geese for Avian Flu. The Alpaca episode is hilarious, especially when they shear that crewman.

Those little critters are so adorable.

One never realizes how many icky jobs that there are out there. I salute every person who is willing (and has the intestinal fortitude) to do those jobs.

Trivia time. . . did you guys know Mike Rowe is an ex-opera singer?

He also voices other shows, such as Deadliest Catch.

He also worked for QVC.

One of my favorite clips is when he was trying to sell Noah's Ark.

Dirty Jobs is pretty much amazing. Mike Rowe is soo hilarious and the show is very informative...like many of you have said before.

Although I'm pretty sure he's gonna die of some sort of lung disease with all those noxious fumes he breathes in!

I really like this show. It makes me realize how good I have got it jobwise. My mother can't watch while she is eating because she gets too grossed out at some episodes.

Which would be shameful, because he has a profound voice.

I like the segments where they show the crew members. There was one where Mike was working in a sewer and they showed the main cameraman laying down in a couple inches of sewer sludge, with cockroaches falling on him from the ceiling.

Oh, like the one where they were at the monkey home, and that evil one bit a camera guy. And they were all scared that night, saying "we're all going to die."
