If both parties agree, there is no reason to take up the court's time.

Pink poodles shouldn't be taking up valuable court time. It shouldn't have even come to that. The dog wasn't harmed or is suffering ill effects from it.

The people they should go after are those that dress their dogs up in little doggie clothes. That should be a capital offense!

I never knew that the coloring of animals was such a problem there, have never heard of it where I live.
She did not use a dye, she used beet juice, so it would not in anyway be harmful for the dog, unless of course the dog hates beets. I thought it looked cute. I am passing the story on to my best friend who is batteling breast cancer right now.

If this case is dismissed, it would show a governmental body using common sense and saving money. That will never fly!

I saw an episode of Animal Precinct where dyed baby chicks were seized because it is illegal in NYC. The reason behind the ordinance is that dyed chicks are sold for Easter, and a vast majority end up dead because people treat them like party favors, rather than living animals. Naturally colored chicks are less attractive. I fully agree with that, and it seems like his ordinance needs to be tweaked a bit. Dogs are a different animal, and people have a different relationship with them. At least the groomer was using natural dye rather than chemical. I wouldn't do it, but as long as there's no physical harm to the animal...whatever crunches your doggie biscuit.

Colorado law enforcement has gone to the dogs. Yes, pun intended. This just irritates me that they couldn't even be competent with the JonBenet case, and then they make a big deal over a pink dog?

sounds like a great case for Denny Crane or Alan Shore to be involved with.

What? They should disband such a body! It goes entirely against Politics 101!

In Hollywood a pink dog is a hot dog! "Pinks" is world famous!

See said she dyed the dog to raise awareness of breast cancer so doesn't this become a free speach issue? The dog isn't hurt at all. She takes care of it; all that happens is the other dogs snicker when she passes by with her dog.

If the law is meant to discourage dying rabbits and chicks for Easter, why didn't the law just say that? I don't understand why lawmakers have to make broad laws to target a specific thing.
