maps.google.com

Put in "from: City, State to: City, State" in the search field.

RAND MCNALLY is good.

GOOGLE MAPS is good, also--click the tab at the top of the page that says "Get directions.")

Where ya going?

Oh it's not me, lol.

A friend of mine in Orono, Maine, is relocating to Maryville, Missouri, for a job (following him getting his PhD).

Thanks for that, both of you. Wow, over 1700 miles - I guess that's 2-3 days' driving.

Google Earth and Maps are quite amazing. It will give you a street level picture of your house and be accurate within two houses in either direction when you type in the address.

Gee I wonder if the satlite is powerful enough to look into your front window and see what you're doing? Maybe that will be an update comming soon.

If you google map my current house, it points to the house NEXT DOOR. So if someone were to googleearth my ad in Craigs list, they would be thinking "I thought the ad said they had a fenced in back yard?".

Still, it is good over all. Your front window is the wrong angle to be seen into. As are license plates on cars.

The estimated 27 1/2 hours is just driving time. It does not include stops for meals, bathroom breaks, putting gas in the car or sleeping.

That would be at least 3 full days of driving. (9 hours driving and perhaps 2 hours for stops).
