http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/local&id=6156635 Former police Sgt. Drew Peterson turned himself in Wednesday on a weapons charge unrelated to the disappearance of his wife, a high-profile case in which he has been named as a suspect. I'm so tired of seeing this man in the news. I just want to wipe off that silly smirk off his face. I hope they find his wife and charge him with her death. He should also be charged with his second wife's death. I don't know why that hasn't happened. Not that it's going to bring her back, but it's the principle.

The rumor mill for the local police agencies there is that he dumped her body down one of the concrete pillars that were being filled during that time for the new Veterans Memorial Highway. If he did indeed do that..... they will NEVER find her remains. At least not in this century.

Yes, I can hardly believe that he's escaped arrest and prosecution for murder.. Do you know something we don't? The police have no evidence that he killed his wife and are just finding silly thing to arrest him for. He may be a jerk, but he's innocent until proven guilty. O.K. Let's just see how many of us know of another case where a man's third wife died under suspicious circumstances and his fourth wife disappears without a trace... ...then, his third wife's family, after hearing about his fourth wife's disappearance, insists that the police exhume their daughter's body and upon further examination, it's found that her death was a homicide (he claimed she drowned, but it was found that she was severely beaten before she drowned) and he was the duty cop on the night of her death and the first emergency responder... ...and that man was innocent? Anyone?

That guy is using his job skills and experience in knowing how they would investigate a murder to hide evidence. This man has probably killed two wives making him a serial killer with a badge. There is always someone out there that taints the police's image. It must give heartburn to the majority of the honest cops.

I don't believe he did it either. Innocent before being proved guilty. There will need to be more evidence to convince me otherwise.

One thing is that guy has a cavalier attitude toward the law and feels he is "exempt" from any gun laws. You would think as a cop that he would know them. What's also interesting is that his lawyer said, "Drew has never fired a gun in anger." He is being prosecuted for having an illegal gun not for firing one so why did his lawyer bring that up?

Probably to establish a temporary insanity plea for the eventual trial of killing his latest wife. You know he wasn't angry, he did it calmly; ergo he must have been insane when he did it. Thanks RC

Having worked at a gun range that was used by the local police as well I can tell you with some authority that cops tend to be very cavalier about guns... I had to remove a couple of them because they would not table their weapons while other fellow police were checking their targets... quote:

Not all that interesting... His lawyer is going to take any thing he can to paint a certain picture of his client... John
