Sounds like he cleaned up his act. His next project though should be his mouth!

I don't know if I necessarily agree with him that metal is all about "following false morals and turning everything around", metal is about honesty and making statements about getting to the truth. It seems like he's making one statement about metal (about metal fans complaining about his newer versions of songs) and following it up with something completely different ("all that metal just twists things around anyway, including Christianity and morality, etc."). His "metal twisting all else" comment didn't exactly logically follow his statement about fans and others complaining about his new versions of songs. It just sounded like a rant out of the blue.
If metal has a legitimate gripe about Christianity, it is not because it understands it in the way that we as Christians do, it is because it only sees "religion", "churchy" business, sanctimonious, self-righteous behavior,
etc (it criticizes it for the same reason we criticize it as "dead religion"). It doesn't see the love and things that are truly spiritual. Since Helloween are a German band, he probably sees other metal bands' problems from a European perspective, with plenty of nominal Christians there, something different from how we as Americans see it.

Our family hosted a German exchange student eight years ago that we keep in touch with constantly since then. I remember him saying how "Church was just for the old people in Germany". He basically inferred, through his conversations with us about God, that belief in God was for unintelligent, superstitious people not for modern, scientific people. He mentioned how empty the churches were as well.
That environment is different than what we see here for sure. At least, outwardly, people are more prone to profess a belief in God and go to church (especially on Christmas and Easter). But in your second paragraph (the section I bolded part in particular) you point out a truth that prohibits the church of Christ from converting the rest of the world in His Name.
I know I can be churchy, sanctimonious, businesslike and self-righteous in my behavior at times. I do try to control this because it is also my biggest critique of Christianity as well I try to be more sensitive to my actions that might tell others I am better than you because I "profess" Christianity. I am not always successful in that endeavor but am a "work in progress"! 
BTW, now with your semi-new moniker I am sure you don't have other guys starting to "like you". At least I hope not! Not in a "Christian" forum anyway! But I must admit that seeing that picture of Lisa Welchel (don't know her married name) reminds me of my boyhood crush on her that went from the New Mickey Mouse Club to "Facts of Life".
