I see a lot of movies so I like making top ten lists every year. What were your favorites?

1. No Country for Old Men 2. The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford 3. Ratatouille 4. Zodiac 5. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street 6. Grindhouse 7. Lars and the Real Girl 8. Paris, Je'Taime 9. Waitress 10. The Mist I'm still catching up on some of 2007's films (I really want to see TWBB), so the list may change.

As far as "films" go, No Country for Old Men, Zodiac, Juno, and Eastern Promises stood out (although I missed TWBB, Assassination, and some others) Other stuff I loved would include every Apatow-produced comedy (Knocked Up, Superbad, Walk Hard), Hot Fuzz, Grindhouse, and probably some others I'm forgetting.

I saw very few (first run) films this year. The Darjeeling Limited was notable if only because it was such an improvement over his last few films.

Having watched There Will be Blood last night, it would place on the top 3 for me.

The re-release of Blade Runner, The Final Cut. Nothing else in 2007 comes even remotely close.

Lust, Caution was the best film of the year I've seen. It was pristine.
