Um, this should get interesting... but, does anyone watch it? And am I the only one that wants desperately to tell them that those things are demons? They've got it half right. When they a "harmless" they call them ghosts. When they are violent they call them demons. They also refuse to use the ouiji (Spelling?)board as they feel it opens portals and invites trouble.... I do like that their first priority is to prove they aren't there. And some of their conclusions (Pipes, magnetic fields, house locations, etc.) are more sane than those British people on another channel that go around singing to the ghosts, having seances etc.... Okay! Have fun! I am praying for the people of TAPS. They need the truth...and I worry that something will go home with them.....

Ya, I've watched it. I like how they go in to disprove everything. They do catch some unusual stuff on video and sound. And ya, I wish I could just talk to them through the tv too. They have a "demonologist" that shows up with them occasionally when they feel something needs to be chased out, and he goes through this ritual of sprinkling and rreading verses. I hate thinking of the poor people that probably have something worse coming along after that.

I've seen it, the old episodes are funny because they were plumbers during the day and their staff was always contacting them at the clients homes and they had the cameras there. But there is a lot of unexplainable stuff in those shows too. The international show starts on Wednesday which will be interesting. Some of those places have hundreds of years of stories of the same things occurring.

Ya, I've seen a couple of their overseas ones. They attribute the stronger demonic manifestations to being "elementals".

Grant proclaims himself a Christian and talks frequently about how frustrated he is that the religious community often ostracizes people instead of embracing them and helping them in these situations. Jay speaks of religion being personal. I grew up in a home where the piano played, footsteps walked through the attic, and cupboard doors with latches would open on their own. Doors would refuse to open and sometimes not shut for anything. When I was eleven years old, something shook me awake in the middle of the night and a stern but kind voice said, "Go get your brother now." As I was trying to wake up and decide if I was dreaming, my little brother came out of his room and into mine. Right after he walked in my room, a big chunk of plaster that covered his whole bed fell. My mom always said that our house had ghosts but it had angels, too, and none of us kids were ever afraid. I don't think everything "supernatural" is demonic. I love Ghost Hunters, and I think I'm going to like Ghost Hunters International, too. That other ghost show... what's it called... Most Haunted, maybe... I can't even watch it. All the shaking tables and "possessions" where ghosts are talking through them and stuff is just ridiculous.

I agree. I believe there are angelic beings present with us also. Sometimes, when we come under attack, we see only that there is something scary after us, but God has placed guardians with us, and the word within us, and the Holy Spirit. We only have to stand on His Word and the blood and these things must leave. (Been there, done that....) I can't stomach the other ghost show. It is so stupid and they are so reckless. They don't even try to debunk, or to help, they are pure sensationalism! Letting something speak through you is the height of stupidity...unless it's the Holy Spirit with prophecy or a word of knowledge/wisdom. I can see that a couple of them in TAPS acknowledge having faith and I think they have been protected despite the fact that they don't understand it as well as they should. I pray that someday they will grasp it better, and be fully aware of how to handle it. Anyone noticed that the "spirits" in the British Isles seem to be more aggressive? Wonder if it has to do with the deep history of paganism, witches, satanism, etc.....

I love this show very much. It's nice that they try to disprove a "haunting" before they approve it. Most Haunted? I can't stand that show in the least. It's just... so fake. They don't seem to know what they're doing, and they go by pure "instinct". It annoys me how they take every bump and sound to be something paranormal.

Most Haunted is a total joke. Yes I love that they go into a house/building to disprove, and many many times they do just that. It just shows that a lot of "hauntings" can actually be explained/debunked. I love that mindframe, rather than the "i heard a bump - it's a ghost!" I laugh every time I see Brian wear the "Dude, Run!" hat...

I used to wonder why anyone would be so stupid as to go into a place where a bunch of angry spirits reside and go looking for trouble. You would never see any Native folks even thinking about doing that. Yeah, I've seen, heard, felt, and smelt bad spirits and it is NOT a fun experience. People who play around with that sort of stuff really do not know what they are doing and that kind of ignorance is dangerous. On the flip side, it is funny to watch people getting scared witless and how they react to things they suddenly realize they have no control over. As far as the places they go to, I'm far more interested in the history and stories of those places than I am how many haints they've got roaming around. Most of them have fascinating histories, if a bit bloody.

I love Ghost hunters and the Ghost hunters International. There's a new show out called Paranormal State on A&E (I think it's A&E) that's been pretty interesting too. As for Most Haunted if you look at it as the piece of comedy that it is you can have a good laugh. The first time I saw this show I laughed hard. Saturday Night did a skit based on Most Haunted one time it was hilarious!!

I quite enjoy that show as entertaiinment value, though I have had to see most of the episodes on YouTube, as it doesn't show on our TV here in Australia. I must admit however, they take a lot of risks that I certainly wouldn't even attempt. I just hope and prey that they never encounter anything that causes them any serious harm. They are walking in totally unknown territory and that is always very risky.

So...I'm not the only christian that is guilty of watching Ghosthunters...LOL! I confess, I watch ghosthunters...They were in Eureka Springs at the Crescent Hotel(the one where they got a figure standing where a locker was with the number 2 glowing)...I've been to the Crescent and yes,...I feel the creeps there....many times, a place gets demonized because of much sorrow nad bloodshed (battlefields, mass murder, etc)..and because occult rituals occurred there that cause an opening for these things to take place...the Crescent started out as a hotel, then later became a hospital for cancer patients led by a quack doctor who did stupid stuff experiements, etc, on the people and many died. But for some reason...when I first walked into the lobby of the hotel one night...I somehow discerned there was something about the huge fire place in the lobby...I went over to it...and to my shock...noticed on the mantel, a carved figure of a demonic creature..combination between a bat and owl...Here's a picture of it on someone's website. http://picasaweb.google.com/michigansotherside/CrescentHotel/photo#5116776121014903650 http://picasaweb.google.com/michigansotherside/CrescentHotel/photo#5116777134627185666 It really creeped me out and made me think of either the giant owl at Bohemian Grove that has a mock sacrifice(maybe not mocked...could be actual) where a body is thrown in a fire under the owl... I wonder if that fireplace is the open portal for these things to come in the hotel for some reason... The Crescent was built by wealthy entrepeuners/railroad men,..and many like that were known to be in secret occultic organizations. I will not stay there, no way!!! (one time I was on a trip, and I stopped and got a room at Motel 6..I went in my room, and I felt a spirit of depression...a gloominess in that room...I went back to the lobby and asked them for a different room, and sure enough it was much brighter. ) Supposely, the whole town of Eureka is suppose to be haunted(probably because of all the new age stuff that goes on there)... I think it would be cool if there was a 'christian ghosthunters' team to go in and cast those things out of people's homes and minister to the people.

No way, especially if there were things around there...maybe it's because I watch too many horror movies, but my imagination would run wild. Not to mention, like you said, that is courting danger! I also agree with the OP, these aren't ghosts at all, just demons trying to fool those gullible humans...sigh. But, I still have watched an episode or two...shhhhh don't tell anyone!

When we go to hotels I pray before we get there that God will bind up any "presents" left by other guests and pray for His angels to go ahead of us. Seems to work! Demons can be attracted to objects and symbols. (Like the demonic creature over the fireplace.) I remember on my honeymoon we bought a game at a store and had it out on the floor when we went to bed. Late at night I heard a voice...telling me that the game was attracting demons to our room. I felt the presence of an angel...I could also feel the demonic visitors...I realized the game had the shape of a pentagram on it! My sleepy husband took my word for it and took it out to a dumpster and ripped it up so nobody else would play it! We prayed, covered ourselves with the blood...and slept well! :)
