Hi all...it's me again, Laila's mom...the 2-year old who has the life-threatening kidney disease.

I feel like I'm losing it. My husband and I just had a big argument. He blames me for Laila's relapse because she was with me when she was exposed to the sick child on the 4th of July.

I've been angry with my 9 year-old, and I think sometimes that I'm breaking her little spirit by being too harsh on her.

I feel backed against a wall, like there is no way out...no room to breathe. No enjoyment in this life.

I've been trying to stay in prayer, but all I can manage to do when I DO get time to pray is simply cry. Ususally, that's when everyone is sleeping...at midnight.

I am a teacher and I don't know what I'm going to do when I factor work into all of this starting September.

I've had thoughts of dying...please pray for me. I have no strength at all.

Avb you are going through a very difficult time. May I suggest you call a pastor or friend you can trust to talk to. You are going through a lot and you really need someone close to talk to. Dont let your feelings and negative thoughts overwhelm you. The Lord loves you and is always there for you.
You are going to get through this with the Lords help.

Lord I lift up this family to you.
Lord I pray for peace and blessings in this home.
Lord help them to be encouraging and understanding of each other
Lord I thank you that you know avbs heart and unspoken prayer
Lord I pray you will give her and her husband the strength and courage they need to come together in love.
Help them Lord to not be overwhelmed by this temporary situation but to grow closer to you through it.
I ask you Lord to heal this marriage, their children and their brokeness,in Jesus Name
Lord I pray for immeasurable faith, hope and love to lift avb from her dispair
Help them Lord ,May your will be done in this marriage and family.
In Jesus Name
Amen

I cannot begin to imagine what you're going through and I won't pretend I do. However, I think it's really common for spouses to say things they don't mean and parents to be so overwhelmed that they snap at the healthy child during times of such stress.

Have you searched for a website for people with Laila's disease? Maybe they have a support group where you could post and get things off your chest.

Please, talk to your 9 year old. Apologize and be very honest that Mommy is worried, scared, and feels like her head is about to explode sometimes and that you're so thankful they're healthy and understanding. Be sure to tell them this might happen again, but it's not their fault, just Mom reacting to what's going on right now.

Talk to hubby. I'll bet he really didn't mean this. If he stops and thinks this through he'll know a common cold can be caught from any door knob, grocery cart, being around people anywhere. Certainly this was not your fault. God is STILL in control.

Lord, please help this family stay strong and stay together in this fight for their precious baby girl. Please let these parents resolve their issue over Laila, it was noones fault. Please Lord, just protect them and please just bring peace and comfort over Laila tonight lord. Please keep avb's mind and thoughts clear of any negativity, keep her focused on her baby girl and on you Lord. Please just wrap your arms around this entire family and Laila and her 9 year old sister as she is watching all of this Lord...

Amen. This is my prayer, too.

Father,
In Jesus Christ's name I join in asking that you heal Laila and resolve all negative issues. Amen.

Heavenly Father
Please help my sister who is weary and worried.
Help her to take one day at a time and not to
borrow from tomorrow's worries.
Help her to wait upon You because You promise
that those who wait upon You will renew their strength.
Encourage my sister to continue to look to You because
those who look to You will never be ashamed.
Father - it is evident that both these parents are protective
of their children but please help them to trust their
children into Your care and trust that You will
never allow anything to come into any of their lives
which has not first been allowed by You
and for their good and Your glory.
AMEN.
