Please join me in prayer for something that I have going on tomorrow night. I am going to audition with a group for the tenor position. It is a new group and they will be part-time. The drive is a concern of mine because it is at least two hours away. With gas prices the way they are it can make it very difficult for everyone involved. I have contemplated starting my own group for awhile but haven't had any serious takers. Please pray that I make the right decisions about this big step.

I say all of that expecting that the audition goes well and I don't wake up singing like Kermit the Frog or worse...you'd have to know my luck here lately to understand. I'll post more about that later!!! lol

I will be praying for you. Just relax, and know that if you are doing the right thing...God will make a way! Let us know how it turns out.

The audition went okay, but it didn't work out. We all agreed that it was just impossible to make it work because of the distance. I drove my conversion van down and it costed me $75 in fuel to go and drive back. I can't afford that and a new group can't afford to reimburse that kind of money either.

Keep praying though. Someone that I was singing with before he took a job too far away is moving back to the area. Hopefully we can make it work this time around. He is awesome too.

You can hear a little bit of what we sounded like at the link below. I am the tenor on the far left and he is right beside me. The bass was the original bass in the group and had just left Chapter IV when this was recorded. All of these guys helped me out at this concert when my group fell apart. We had only practiced once or twice when we sang here, so it is a little rough in spots. Should have called us the "Thrown Together Quartet".

Oh guys! I am soooo thankful: my group is only about 16 miles away for me to go for practice! Considering that I live in a spot that is not a hotspot for Gospel, this is a fantastic distance! I wish you all could get something 20 miles away or less!
