I've dealt with bipolar disorder for a number of years, but lately I have become really manic. I see things that aren't there and talk to myself sometimes. . . I feel like things are happening, but not real. I am there, and it's me, but I can't control all my thoughts and actions.

I just began seeing a professional counselor, but I'm still scared. . .

(((Ben)))) It's really good you are seeing a counselor and hopefully he (or if not he some other professional) will put you on meds (or adjust your meds if you are already taking them) as it sounds like a chemical imbalance of some sort. Don't worry, God has you in the palm of his hand.

Lord please give Ben direction in how to best find help and healing. Bring him Christian friends to help him and help him to find his refuge in You. Comfort him and help him not to be scared. In Jesus name amen.

Thank you for your honesty. God WILL heal you!

Lord, I ask you to take the demons out of "1love1God1way's" head. Lord, the devil has no place in him. God, take him and mold him into the person you want him to be. Let him be free to speak your works in his life. Let his actions be pleasing to you and you alone.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen.

Our Heavenly Father,
We ask that you give 1love1God1way peace and remove the negative feelings he's having.
We ask that you guide 1love1God1way Father God to the right counselor that can take care of his mental situation.
We ask that this counselor be a Christian Father God in order to help Ben along his way.
We pray these things in Jesus name, Amen.

Father,

Thank You that he has found a counselor. Please guide the counselor in helping 1love1God1way. In the meantime, we ask that You show Your goodness in the way that You heal him. We ask that he have true peace of mind and that he enjoy You and the life that You will provide. We thank You and ask this in the name of Your Son who is our Lord, our King, our older Brother and our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

If it's any comfort, you are certainly not alone in this. I have a family member who experiences the same thing.

Lord Jesus, please heal this person's mind. May the fruit of the Spirit be shown in their thinking and speaking in the self-control and discernment the Spirit gives. We ask in Your Name.

Amen.

Hi Ben,
I'm Rose and I have been right where your at. Your not alone and there is always HOPE for YOU! Being afraid is normal and you can get through this!
Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." I want to encourage you to memorize God's Word. Also start a personal journal and write letters to God. Also write everything that your feeling and share some of it whenever you see your counselor. I know that my journal helped me. The good thing is that your seeking help and thats a good thing. Even when you feel afraid, know that God is near by and He will never leave you nor forsake you. God has a purpose and a plan for all that you are going through at this time. God wants you to endure and draw close to God.
I know all to well how it is to see things that you know are not really there. I used to see a lot of scary stuff and it put fear in me. But you must pray, and pray believing that God can heal you from the delusions and from your depression. You have all of the right tools. Use them. Make sure that you communicate what your going through with your parents. Medication helps, but you still have to do your part. Hang in there. You will get through this. If I can you can. Please feel free to message me anytime. Sincerely in Christ,Rose

I'd also like to add that God doesn't give us the spirit of fear. Pray and He WILL take it from you.

Thank you all for your prayers. I just wanted to give you an update. . .

I had another "episode" where I basically feel like I can't control what I am doing, and I am completely disconnected from reality.

I was outside, and I found a nail on the ground, and started poking myself with it, but noticed I wasn't really feeling anything. So I kept poking harder.

I guess all I wanted to do was feel some pain, just so I could feel something.

I was about to stab myself with it when I finally caught myself and realized what I was doing, and threw it away. . .

It has been my fear that I might end up hurting myself, and it almost became true.

Please, keep me in your prayers.

First, a special thank you to those who have continued to support me in your prayers. It means the world to me. . .

An update:

Things continue downhill. My episodes are getting longer and harder. I'm having a lot of delusions too.

It's been a really scary experience, and some days, it's just hard to keep pushing on. I wish it would just end. (this is by no means a suicidal comment, don't take it that way).

Next week, I am going to see what can be done about getting medicated. I really think I need it at this point.

Thank you in advance for your prayers.

.ben

i had some ct scans done in december because they thought there may have been some bleeding in the brain ( i was having migraines with scary vital signs). they didn't find anything. they wanted to do a spinal tap but didn't.

they gave me some shots and sent me on my way and i havent had migraines since then.

well i would definitely either get a 2nd opinion or ask the dr to do it again. Are they
putting you on meds now for this. I just wouldn't let this go because its dealing with
the brain and that is serious. Something just doesn't sound right, but please maybe
ask them to do another scan or MRI...

I am praying for you!!

You are wise to be getting professional help. Praying for you and your loved ones and the professionals treating you.
