.) Us-ward Psalm 40:5 Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward God’s mercy and goodness are to “us-ward”. Ephesians 1:19 declares the “exceeding greatness of His power to “us-ward”. The Cross of Christ, revealed to us obedience to God, atonement for sin, and defeat to the enemies of God. God did all this for us. Christ was our representative on the Cross. He overcame hell death and the grave, rose again on the third day and is preparing a throne, and heavenly glories for those that receive Him. Our authority is found therefore in the resurrection and seating of Christ at God’s right hand. God wants all of us to came to an ever increasing understanding of what this means. Say: God works good to me daily. Question: Are you giving proper time and gravity in your seeking after Christ? Hans

.) Together Ephesians 1:19-20, 2:1 what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,(KJV)…….Also you -- being dead in the trespasses and the sins,(YLT) Note that the “also you” of Ephesians 2:1 refers back to the verb of “raised” in Ephesians 1:20. In the mind of God, those who are “in Christ” by virtue of having received Him by faith are already “raised” with Him. It can be tough for us to see things along this line as God sees them. To God, Jesus and His body which is the church were raised together. If you keep this thought in mind and read further through Ephesians 2, it will continue this same line of thinking by saying that not only have we been raised together with Christ, but we have also been “made sit together in heavenly places.” Say: The same power that raised Jesus also raised me. Question: Is it difficult to see your position in Christ. Hans

.) Excel I Corinthians 14:12 …seek that you may excel to the edifying of the Church. What is your focus? Why do you say what you do? Why do you do what you do? In what way is your zeal and passion played out? If you are zealous for God, then learn to focus on edifying the Body. Often, as I go through the various on-line forums I see lots of posts that have very little to do with edifying the Church. I know that that can be difficult to do in every post, but as a general rule it is a good point of focus. I don’t always mange to do it either on all threads and posts. But as a general target, I frequently stop and ask myself if and how I can edify the Body with my actions and words. When I am considering a new theme for a thread, I ask myself, “How will this be of a benefit to the body of Christ?” Often, though probably not often enough when addressing some point in a thread, I’ll stop and ask how my response will be a benefit to the Body of Christ. My whole point and purpose in posting is to be a blessing and to edify the body of Christ. My central focus is to excel at edifying the body of Christ. That is what I want to excel at. Say: I am a blessing to the Body of Christ. Question: Do you stop and ask how you can learn to excel at edifying the Body? Hans

.) Sit Together Ephesians2:5-6 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: When God raised Jesus from the dead, His body was raised . Now the church is the body and we are “in Him”. Because we are “in Him”, God views us as also raised and seated with Him in heavenly places. As members of His body, we are seated now with Him in heavenly places. In Him, we are now seated on the right hand of God. In Him, we have access to God and can come boldly before the throne. As far as authority goes, we are now seated in heavenly places at God’s right hand by virtue of being “in Him”. Say: I am in “Him” and seated with Him at God’s right hand. Question: Does it ever seem like you are not seated in heavenly places? Hans

.) Allowed Matthew 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. There are many times that situations exist in the life of a believer because we allow them to exist. Jesus gave us the authority to pray and do things in His name. He told us to bind and lose some stuff. If we do not do what we are called to do, then some things that need to be bound will not be bound and some things that need to be loosed will not be loosed. If we do not get into pray full action, many things that can be detrimental to us will simple exist and be allowed to continue because we did not use the resources that God has given us. God gave us the authority in the name of Jesus, because He expects us to do some things. There are many things that should happen, that never will if we do not get after them in prayer. By our praying, we can bring the power of God into a situation. Say: I will pray along the lines of God’s Word and use the authority that God has given me in Christ. Question: Does it ever seem like you are not seated in heavenly places? Hans

.) Resist James 4:7 ….Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. God has given His church authority over enemy spirits. Whenever, we read about the devil in the Bible, we are always told to do something about him. We are told, that we are to resist. We are not in the Word told to pray to God, that God will do something about the enemy. We are also not instructed to pray to Jesus to have Him make the devil go away. We are told that we are to do the resisting. God has given His church the authority to deal with enemy spirits. This resistance is not just digging in our heels to temptation, but rather, is an active and not a passive posture against the enemy. Resistance movements are most often noted for their active offensive operations. I am not suggesting that we are supposed to go out looking for enemy spirits, but promoting the Gospel is an active endeavor and if the enemy gets in the way, then in the “name of Jesus” we actively resist him. Say: In the name of Jesus, and according to the Word of God, I stand fast against the enemy, and he flees. Question: Ever been involved in some serious resistance? Hans
