I just received a phone call from my mother who lives in CA. She told me that my older brother is currently hospitalized and had been for almost a week. My brother was born with an extra lobe on his heart. The extra lobe caused some erratic heart rhythms, especially when he over exerted himself. He did not seek any medical intervention earlier as it did not bother him too much. But as he grew older, his heart started giving him some trouble but the doctors diagnosed him with Anxiety Disorder and medicated him with Anti-Anxiety medication. Anyway, about a week ago, he had a cardiac episode and was taken to the hospital. He had surgery done to correct the problem, but it was unsuccessful and had another episode. He's due for another surgery. Right now he's utterly exhausted because they won't let him eat or sleep for some reason. Please be praying for him. My brother's been through so much all ready with losing our dad, depression, mental anguish from transgenderism, and now this. Just 2 weeks ago, my mother told me that he had started going back to the Lord after being on the run from Him. Perhaps (although very dramatic) God is using this situation to really bring my brother back to Him.

Lord, I pray for Mari's brother right now. I pray that you heal him completely and give him the peace and strength that he needs right now Lord. I pray for the entire family right now Lord,
be with them and let them know that they can rest knowing you will take care of them!!

I got more details about my brother's situation. He was born with two sinoatrial nodes (which is the heart's natural pacemaker). Growing up, during stressful situations, he had episodes of tachycardia. The doctors said they could do a simple procedure through the groin to remove the extra node, but he was afraid to have it done. So anyway, just this past week, he had a really bad episode where he couldn't breathe and almost collapsed and so he went to he hospital. The doctors did the procedure to remove the extra node, and it took 4 hours to do it, but apparently they didn't remove enough of it so he had another episode. They did the procedure again this time it took about an hour although they couldn't remove all of it, because they he would have to wear a pacemaker. Anyway, he was able to get discharged today, and is doing okay. He does still have a 10% chance of having another episode. My mother was told his condition isn't life threatening. Just uncomfortable when he does have the episodes.
