Please pray for me that the Lord would stregthen my faith. I have been so down lately that I am having a hard time finding any joy in my life any more. Please pray God will save me and give me His peace once again. I hate felling this way and I sometimes feel like I am not close to God anymore as if God has put me on the shelf and forgot about me. Pray God will have mercy and save me. Thanks.

I will certainly pray for you, but I would also like to offer you something that has helped me tremendously in being able to keep my joy throughout the day. A few months ago my 16 year old daughter whom I home school asked me if I could come up with something that we could do before each subject that focused on simple pleasures; well I purchased a really pretty notebook and a purple pen and now each day before we begin a subject we write down something simple that gives us pleasure. We take turns and after we write down our pleasure we pray and thank God for it and then we pray for someone else who may not be able to enjoy the pleasure that we have named ie on of our pleasures was water and we prayed for those who don't have the convenience of obtaining water as easily as we do here in the USA. You could name pleasures hourly or after each meal time or however it works for you. It has really helped both of us to see how blessed we are and how much God loves us. I will pray for you and I hope that you try the simple pleasure idea. Love in Christ, Mary

I am sorry you are going through this, I totally understand how you feel. The more I read my bible everynight, the more I got involved in church and prayed for others things started turning around and I noticed that I wasn't sad anymore, because God was taking my focus off of feeling this way, I noticed that I was focusing on praying for others and focusing on the Lord..Things will change for you, just keep at it. Continue to pray every night and day, read your bible and know god loves you and that he does not forget his children. That is just satan wanting you to "think" God has forgotten you...repeat to yourself everyday, "I will let nothing steal my joy"....
