I really need some help.
I have a wireless network that I am trying to change the wireless router on. When I put in a new wireless router I can get to the internet but cannot access files on other computers. I've tried everything I can think of to no avail. Also when I put back the old router everything works fine.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Bill

Suggestion 1: try a Google search on your router brand and model.

Suggestion 2: go into the administration utility on the old router (usually accessed through a web browser) and copy down all settings. Since you are seeing the internet but not the local network, pay particular attention to the LAN and WAN settings (that's local area network and wireless area network). Then go into the administration utility on the new router and make sure the LAN/WAN settings are the same. If you do not know how to access the administration utility for either router, check the user guide. If you do not have a user guide, go to the web site for the router brand and search for it. Almost always there is a PDF available.
