So if my son's 2nd grade teacher suddenly decided to run for President, we couldn't question her qualifications because it might offend 2nd grade teachers all over the country? What about me? I'm a group fitness instructor - maybe I should run for President - seems to be a pretty wide open field...if they try to criticize my lack of experience, all the group fitness instructors and personal trainers all over the country will rise up in my defense!

Apology no. A claification on what she obviously meant (that community organizing should not be a featured part of a presidential candidate's resume) would be nice. If only tostop the whining. Just joking. I will say I wish she had used the word "accountability" instead of "responsibility". All jobs have responsibility and certainly CO's are noble and responsible folk for the most part (all occupations have a few nefarious folk working in them). But their decisions are not held to account by voters and I think that's an important distinction here.

Didn't Arnold Swarzengeaetaeraer have no experience either for Gov.? (California...Reagan......that professional wrestling guy that went into office?) ...I mean let's not stretch this ....Obama's FIRST job out of college was as a community organizer. He's had the other experiences too. But the point was that Palin and others underestimate the importance and duties of a CO and they mocked the position in a way that was disrespectful to those that do it.

They may have done this unintentionally in their zeal to get Obama and that is why I feel a claification is in order. I know what they meant but COs deserve respect for the good work they do. The quicker they clarify this the better off they'll be.
