My mom says that guys hate purple and blue nail polish, which made me curious. Is this true? Does it make any difference? If so, what colors do you hate?

For the record, I bought the purple anyhoo. Sorry.

Purple & blue are just fine - hate is such a strong word.

Maybe its that your mom doesn't like the nail polish and she's trying to appeal to your heart's desire for a guy...hhhmmmmm.

Not a big nail polish fan, so...whatever

Depends on the color of her shoes! LOL. I don't know what context your mom seems to be concerned. I don't know that I've really ever seen a woman wearing blue nail polish. Just trying to picture it, don't suppose it would look bad.

Doesn't matter too much, however red and pink are prettier though.

As long as the color is not black, I'm ok with it. I actually prefer it if women don't wear any except for "dress up" occasions.

I don't like blue or black. Purple depends on the person and what she's wearing.

I prefer pastels, and really, I'd rather she didn't wear nail polish.

I don't think any dark color nail polish looks good with the exception of several red hues.

lol wow. So I guess my general lack of it is actually better received than the carefully manicured nails of my fellow chickadees. And I thought not being able to paint my nails cuz of bass and guitar was a bad thing! Rox on!

This is very interesting. Keep up the opinions.

It doesn't matter what your nails look like - - you get extra points just for playing the bass or guitar! And you can still show off your toenails if you play barefoot.

I'm the opposite. I came out of a straight-edge hardcore scene. . . If it is a color other than black, I probably won't like it very much.

I pay next to no attention to nail polish. Some excessivly bold colors (bright red, dayglo green, black) may catch my attention briefly, only to wonder what she is trying to say by wearing it.

Most of the time I could not tell anyone if any of the women I am around even wear nail polish.

Something else I'd rather not see painted. But I seem to be in the minority there.

Again, something I pay little attention to and rarely notice.

Absolutely! You should wear sackcloth down to your ankles, no makeup, don't shave your legs or arm pits, and no nail polish.

As long as it's not "goth", clashing with your hair and skin tone, or clashing with your cloths, why not?

Hold it right there! Legs should be shaved. I mean, really!

Color does not matter. The issue is whether she is trying too hard to draw attention to her nails. I don't care if they are painted or not. But, shiny is what gets me. IF I notice her nails and their just glossy, that will get my attention for about 5 seconds.

If the heart is in the right place (on God through Jesus first, guys next) then it does not matter what color the nails are, or even if they're glossy.
