I want to open this up for anyone and everyone to add their hearts prayer for marriages. I am now 11 months into a separation from my wife and kids and it has been a very difficult time but I see the hand of God upon it and I hold to His promises and words of encouragement over this time. I know of many christian marriages that are either in divorce or heading there or are in just terrible shape and my heart grieves. I felt from the Lord recently that He was shaking up all that which can be shaken. Many marriages that started on good ground and a solid foundation had at some time began to build things that were not of Him. Jesus is coming back for a bride without spot or wrinkle, and those things in our lives which are not from Him need to be removed so we are ready for Him when He comes to get us. Be one of the wise virgins and not the foolish ones. Father, in the name of your Son Jesus, my precious redeemer, I bring before you marriages, especially those between your children. Father, I ask that you would forgive us for our selfishness, for our lack of loving one another as you have loved us, for treating ourselves as more important or better than our spouses, forgive us Lord for judging and condeming those we were called to love, for verbal abuse, emotional abuse and for all other forms of abuse. Father, I repent on behalf of husbands everywhere who have not honored thier wives, who have not been patient with them, who did not remember that you gave us wives as helpmates and equals. I repent for those who did not love their wives as they loved themselves. Have mercy on us Father. Teach us your ways, to trust you with every detail. Cause us to truly know that if we do not abide in your Son Jesus, we can accomplish nothing. Father I ask that you would help the women that we have hurt to forgive us as you also have forgiven us. Bless our wives with wisdom and help them to find thier strength in You. I pray that your word would shine brightly on the path before us all, teach us how to lay down our lives to serve each other and our our fellow man. Break the religeous spirit that keeps us from obeying You and walking in ways that are pleasing to You. I thank you Lord, that with You all things are possible. I am so thankful that You sent Your Son Jesus to not only lay down His life to pay for our sins, but also to show us by His example how to live the life You desire us to live. I also thank you for sending Your Holy Spirit to empower us to walk in truth and light, to remind us of what Jesus taught and to guide us into all righteousness. May You, Soverign Lord, receive all the honor and all the glory for marriages that will return to You. Thank you Lord. Amen

Thank you quiver for writing what you did and listening to the Heart of the Lord. It was such an encouragement to me. I have been separated from my husband since last Sept. We divorced about three weeks later. I did not want this divorce and two weeks later, he told me and his 5 children that he was going to marry another woman in Dec. My trial with this has not been easy, my tears still come. I do love my husband very much and miss him. We were married for over 28 years. I am like you, I feel so much a burden for other women, men and children who are without the Bride or husband of their youth. I will continue to pray for my prodical husband to come home. I know that I know that this is not possible without the Lord and just giving and trusting, that he does stay behind his word and will accomplishment what he has promised me and others. He can do miracles. Please keep me and my family, and his family in prayer, as for all of us are heartbroken and by the way, AMEN AND AMEN to what you wrote.

I am also currently separated from my husband. He wants a divorce, but for now we are just waiting. I am praying for the Lord to intervene and restore our marriage. I am also praying in agreement for the marriages of those that have posted on this thread.

Father, joining in lifting up marriages to You. Thank You for this holy union. I'm sorry Lord that we've messed it up so. Bless and heal all marriages. Father, help the marriages of believers who are married to nonbelievers by bringing the unbelievers to a saving knowage of You, that these marriages and homes may be blessed with Your presence. That children may grow up safe and secure in loving homes, where You are talked about and loved and honored. O we love You Lord. And we seek Your help. In Jesus name. Amen

thanks, we can't pray enough for marriages, we don't honor them enough, respect them enough or even value them enough. I hear too many people speak about their spouse like they are a pain in the neck (being nice here). We treat it lightly and all too casually toss it aside when things don't go our way. God has promised great rewards to those overcome. How can we overcome if we quit? if we toss in the towel or forsake those whom we promised to spend the rest of our lives with? Father, we need You to heal marriages. We have made such a mess and that is all we can do without You. We need you to be the Lord of our lives so we can be all that You made us to be in every part of our lives. Come Lord Jesus and sit on the throne of our lives. Be Lord, Savior, Healer, Redeemer, Reconciler. Simply, be God. We need to know You as God. You are the beginning and the end and You fill the inbetween. We are desperate for you, else we are lost and alone. In Jesus name Amen
