Hello brothers and sisters,

A friend of mine is working on a research paper for the following topic he was assigned: Proclamation, persuasion, participation. Supposedly there is some kind of controversy in today's Church about this slogan and what it means.

Does anyone know of a summary of what this slogan means or how it is being used in the modern church? Do you know of any controversy involving it?

I am wondering if it relates to one of the emergent church streams, or if some famous preacher tried to popularize it in a book or on TV.

I am finding very little on-line about it, except that the proclamation and persuasion seem to relate to ancient Greek rhetoric philosophy.

My best guess is that this is a model for church growth.

Anyway, I told my friend I'd open this thread for him to see if I can find anything out from other forum users who are in other Christian circles that I am not familiar with. God bless you for anything you choose to contribute to this discussion.

Me neither, though is sounds like it could be some of the "Emergent" verbabe that wanders around to confuse folks.

Thanks
RC

I never heard of it, either, but I did google it, adding the word church. This was the first listing.

Oh! I think it is the doctrine of the 3 P's... aka, triple P principle.
