We're just on the beginning of season/series 2 of Robin Hood here in the States.

I'm glad that it's a more general-audiences show than Torchwood, but it does seem more than a little cheesy.

I was spoiled on the web since this season has already aired in the UK...and I can't believe that the show's writers and producers killed off Marian at the end of season 2?

i am a huge fan (obviosly ..notice the avitar) of the Robin mythos, I am however not of the bbc's series, I prefer realism over this story line. Its mor like Robin Hood the Next Generation (not ment as a star trek reference)
They lost me in the begining when Robin and Much came back from the crusades, looking more like there back from college. I did give it a chance. Take R.H. Prince of theives Not bad film(although Costner stunk as choice) however at the asme time another one with Patrick bergin as Robin was better, and was released in the US on TV, and in theaters in Europe and did better. It was more closer to the mythos. BBC however had abetter robin hood series in the 80s (title not sure but I think it was the Legend of Sherwood, It had 2 diffrent robins, the first dies and another picks up the mantle played by Sean Connerys son. And by the way who also played Robin in Robin and Marion. A very realistic portrayal of the fashions and times. There was another series in the 90s (full title escapes me) That its robin was one of the merry men in Men in Tights (i think but could be wrong -the do look alike) And In the Wal-mart 5.00 dvd bin I picked up the 1955-60 series 1st season (36 episodes) And heres a little trivia Robin is mentioned and seen in the book and films of Ivenhoe, and Men in Tights is not mel brooks first attempt with Robin Hood, in the 70's he had a short lived series on the subject called When Things Were Rotten. But however always in my heart shall remain my Fave is the Adventures of robin Hood with Erroll Flynn. On a sad note I receintly threw away my costume I would wear to Renascence Faires and Halloween.

We thought it was pretty awful, and didn't bother watching it.
