Hi, ladies! I've been reading, but not posting much, so I've not forgotten you. I've just not felt like posting at times for some reason.

((((((Everyone))))))

((((((Roberta)))))), I just saw your post after posting this one, so I wanted you to know that I feel for you and understand how hard it is to admit to problems you don't want to face. If you go to that thread, I've posted some suggestions and a link to an organization that might be able to help you as it has helped me.

Tamara, it sounds like your friend has some serious issues in her life. I don't know what to advise, except pray for her and show her Christlike love.

I've ridden a bicycle and enjoy it very much, but the traffic on my street is so fast, I've named it, "(name of street) Racetrack." I was hit by a car while riding on a sidewalk once, so I'm not sure that's safe either. I prefer walking and going to the gym for exercise.

I'm doing okay. I posted a funny joke in my blog entry this morning. I've been trying to get housework done and trying a new diet, so I'll see how that comes out. Other than that, nothing much is going on.

Well, I've got housework, laundry and errands to run, so have a nice day, everyone!

EDITED to add note to Roberta.

Nicole, Congratz! thats great, so are you trying to copy me? hehe Just kidding thats great that you got a bike and helmet you liked, I got some fingerless gloves too ^_^ we are going to ride tuesday *hoping for good weather* but we are going to check out this trail by the lake. I know what ya mean about getting on bike and its been so long... I wasnt tired afterwards but when going up some of the big hills I was like Ooo It burns... lol yeah just wait and see how you are in moring lol
I also rode down steps and stuff when I was younger.

Yep! I am totally copying you! We sound like twins now. What kind of bike did you buy? I bought a Norco Katmandu http://www.norco.com/bikes/mountain/adventure_x/katmandu.php . It is grey with a bit of white and light pink writing. My helmet is grey/white/pink and my gloves are grey with pinik writing. I'm all matchy matchy! I've been thinking about getting a bike since we moved here. Yesterday was such a warm day so I figured it was the perfect day to get a bike! I am glad I did! By the way, my legs don't hurt at all today. I did sit twice for about 10 minutes so that probably helped. After going up one hill I had to get off my bike and just started laughing cuz my legs were burning so bad. I can't wait to do the whole 22km loop around the lake. And once I am used to biking again and in perfect biking shape we will be taking our bikes to the mountains! I am so excited for that!

Today is so not nice out like it was yesterday. I was hoping to go for another bike ride, but it is way too cold and cloudy out. It is supposed to rain which would be nice!

My husband is spoiled. I talked him into buying a motorcycle on friday. He wanted to bike to and from work when we move to our new place, but I didn't want him biking in the Summer up and down huge hills the whole way so I convinced him to buy a motorcycle instead. He is very excited! He got his dream bike too! http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/2006models/2006-Suzuki-Boulevard-M50a.jpg . It is a 2006 with only 6,000 km's on it. It is in perfect condition and is oh so pretty. He is keeping it at his workplace because he couldn't get in for training until June... So he is going to go nuts waiting to ride it! And his boss is letting him work an extra half an hour a day to pay for the bike so it doesn't take away from our budget. So that is sweet! I am so excited we moved here because we have so much more to do now! We will never get bored again!

Nice bike. They are all into cars and motorcycles here.

Motorcycles scare me but then I'm afraid to go real fast. More are riding in the summer now since the gas prices are so high.. they get better gas mileage.

Well, you don't have to go real fast on a motorcycle. Just the speed limit! Which Lorne will be doing. There is no way he would speed on a motorcycle. We will save a bit on gas. Not as much as if he were using it now driving across town, but then there is no way he would ride across town on a motorcycle... Once we are in our new place the drive is only 10 minutes to work so he wouldn't be using much gas in a car anyways. I sat on his motorcycle and it is way too big for me. My feet didn't even touch the ground! Plus it took me forever to get it standing straight. So heavy!

Hi Trish!

Nicole I bought This bike. I found a helmet that matched my bike also but I ended up getting a blue one instead.
Yeah there was one hill I went up I had to get off I couldn't make it up all way lol but tomorrow if the weather is good we are planning on going to trial by this lake and check it out.

Speed limit always Varies interstates and hwys range from 55-70 mph and roads vary from 10-55 mph

That's a nice bike Jennifer. I actually saw the matching helmet at the store where I got my bike. We might go out tonight. It is supposed to snow/rain, but if it clears up at all and doesn't get colder than now we may go out. I will just dress a bit warmer than I did yesterday. Sorry about your test scores ((((hugs))))

Well, I just got back... It was quite painful, but I made it. Lol. We did end up talking about genitalia though. I just told her I had to do chemistry and got going.

Most people speed here, AND there is no helmet law. It is a bit unnerving to get passed on the freeway by someone riding a motorcycle without any helmet.
I'm glad you had fun riding, Nicole. It really is one of those things you never forget how to do.

A short time ago, a police officer was trying to pull over a motorcycle, but he wasn't hearing it. He kept going and the cop had a serious accident... some others tried to catch the motorcycle (he didn't stop even though the cop had a wreck), but no one could. I know it's hard to catch a car, but I'm trying to figure out how one can catch a motorcycle anyway. I just think there should be some way to prevent things like that from happening. No one ever did get the guy. Even a cop on a motorcycle trying to catch a peron on a motorcycle would probably have a hard time I'd think.

You won't find me on a motorcycle! A relative of mine was killed in a motorcycle accident when I was 30 years old. I went to the visitation on my birthday.

My husband is planning to take a cross-country motorcycle trip with his father in 2015. He wants me to come too, but I think not. Spending weeks on a motorcycle does not sound like that much fun to me.

And I wish people where I lived would drive faster. It kills me when the passing lane is not even going the full speed limit when it is not heavy traffic.

I don't even ride a bike so forget motorcycles. If DH wanted one I wouldn't try to talk him out of it but I hope he wouldn't try to have one over here. The speed limit is 120 km/h and that's in the slow lane (if they're going that fast). The other lanes people are flying and if you use the lane to pass someone in the slow lane they'll flash their lights at you to get you to move out of the way. That usually just makes me take my time moving back over. LOL

You have to check out the video I have in my post today. It's hiliarious. Before anyone wonders if they should be at all offended, my friends who told me about it are all Muslim. LOL I had to watch it at work since it would take forever at home. I used my earphones to watch it while the Arabic teacher was here and I somehow managed to not laugh out loud. Enjoy it or...I keel you!

Have a nice day, ladies.

Life is pretty groovy here. It is super windy, but the temp is supposed to be a little warmer. I really really really dislike Nebraska weather. Florida weather is much easier to deal with. It is so stinking windy here! *blech*

I'm just chillin with Mary and mom. I have lots of book work to do. Ryan was able to finally get his school loans consolidated. He has been paying loan forebearance (sp) but we can't do that anymore. His loans are super huge, and they had been wanting us to pay over $700 a month!! He talked to someone yesterday who said his credit is really good (something we have been working on the past seven years) and with my grandmother co-signing, he was able to get the interest knocked down from like 15% to around 6%. This will make our payments around $273. For the first payment we do have to pay around $700, but the rest will be smaller.

Awww Melissa, that is so sad.

Catherine, I would never want to sit on a motorcycle for a week either. That would kill!

Nicole, that is great news about your payments being so much lower! That is so awesome!

My knee and hip are messed up today. The weather is just so weird. One day it is nice and hot outside and then the next it is cold and humid. Whenever it gets humid my left knee which I have hurt really badly twice gets all messed up feeling. And then my left hip goes out of whack because I tend to walk a bit different trying not to hurt my knee more.

We were going to go for a bike ride yesterday, but Lorne wasn't feeling the greatest so we stayed at home. I am going to try to go today as long as Lorne feels well enough. I am hoping it loosens up my knee so it isn't bothering me so much. I had a bad sleep last night cuz I couldn't get comfortable. So annoying! I finally gave up trying to get comfy at 4am and just let it throb all night.

Same here too. The weekend was sooooo nice in the high 70's. Then Monday we were having wind gusts over 80 MPH. Then last night we got some snow. Currently at 1 PM the temp is 43*F.

It is only 39 right now. It's cloudy and looks like it could snow. Plus every so often the wind goes crazy. I want it to be in the 70s again so I can get outside, go for a bike ride and not freeze. I really want to go today, but I think I would just end up with a frozen face.
