Ok people I need help on something, I need to find the name of a song and artist for my brother. The only words he knows are something like this.

"I just look unto the hills from which cometh my strength"

Now I know that is not much to work with but any input I would be grateful for.

I do know that is Psalms 121.

Otherwise, this is what I found.

Sounds like an old song that the Florida Boys did several years ago with Greg Cook (current tenor for Ricky Atkinson & Compassion) titled "Unto The Hills". I'm pretty sure The Florida Boys re-did a version of it just a few years ago with Harold Reed. (I bet Amy could give more details about that.)

Anyway, I never cared for the song too much, because the Olde English wording just sounds 'not right' to me. Actually, the line you mentioned says "I just look unto the hills whence comes my strength."

I heard a preacher preach it this way once : According to him -- and according to his interpretation of "The King's English", the correct phrasing should be, "I look unto the hills. (period=making a statement) Whence comes my strength? (question mark=asking a question) My strength cometh from The Lord. (period=making a statement that answers the question). This sounds 'better' to me, but if I read the version of the old KJV I have, it isn't really puctuated that way.

I know this was WAY more than you asked for (the rambling about the KJV wording, and all...),
but I hope it will helpe you find out what you're looking for.

Posting song lyrics is frowned upon, or I'd try to list the words that I remember. Which isn't too many, given that I didn't really ever get into the song. Oh! Something makes me think Darryl Williams wrote the song. Not sure.

The Florida Boys did it on their final project, Keep on Singing. Unfortunately, that album (at least the copy I picked up at their booth last NQC) has no release notes, so I can't tell you who wrote it.
