Hi, I am just getting into pop Christian music and I would like to buy 2 or 3 CDs to play in my car. What CDs do you suggest? Perhaps some kind of mix of top artists or top songs?

Go to your local Christian store that sells music and buy one of the compilation CDs (there are many to choose from). Or, if you subscribe to a music service you can usually browse Christian music. Also ccmmagazine.com will give you a list of the pop Christian bands and sometimes links to their myspace pages or the band's official site.

Good hunting!

Assuming you want music in the "Pop" genre, I'd pick up Addison Road's new CD, and definately look for some compilations. I don't have many suggestions, because I'm more into Rock myself. I do like alot of Pop-Rock though, so if you're interested in checking some of that out, a few of my favorites are:

Needtobreathe
Nevertheless
Sanctus Real
Hawk Nelson
Stellar Kart

Those bands are all more of a pop-rock sound that you may enjoy!

For an introduction to pop the your best bet is the WOW Hits compilations. They have the songs you're most likely to hear on the Christian Top 40-type stations. The WOW #1's would be another good place to start.

I agree, the WOW compilations are a very good start. Some great artists that have been around for a good minute would be Relient K, Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith, Newsboys, and Delirious.

If you're into pop-punk. If you're not then save your money.

David Crowder Band is more Praise Punk I guess almost

but Relient K and Hawk Nelson definately bubble gum pop punk variety. I only have heard one song by each I like.

but each person has their own musical tastes so won't put his music down

Bubble Gum would be Jump5. Listen to Life After Death & Taxes or Is Forever Enough and tell me its bubble gum pop.
