A Father and his Young Son

“Father, why is all I see are the atrocities of man? Why do I not see the wonders of God?”

“God gave man free will. What you witness is man’s inability to choose his actions wisely.”

“But what of the wonders of God? I do not see them. Has he left us?”

“Son, kneel with me. Close your eyes and clear your mind of what your eyes show you. Now, what do you feel?”

“I feel the grass beneath me and the breeze upon my face.”

“And who created the grass and the breeze?”

“Our Father?”

“Yes. Now, what do you hear?”

“I hear the songs of the birds in the trees and the rolling of water over the stones in the brook nearby.”

“And who gave the birds their beautiful songs and gave the soothing sound of the water as it journeys down its’ path?”

“Our Lord?”

“Correct. And what do you smell?”

“I can smell the coming of rain upon the breeze and the pollen from the flowers.”

“And who created the rain and the aroma of the flowers?”

“Our Creator?”

“Now my son, without opening your eyes, combine all of what your senses capture and tell me what it is that you see.”

“I see all the beauty that God created.”

“My son, one does not need to see with their eyes that God surrounds us with his love. One must take the time to become humble upon their knees to know that He has never left us. That is why we must never doubt, but to always believe that He is always there.”

Thank you for viewing, I hope you enjoyed this. A little project I did for a Bible class.
