The longer I am around church the more complicated the gospel gets to me. There have been people who have came to our church over the years who were friends even before we joined the church. They came and caused major problems and caused harm emotionally and spiritually to others in our church.

Recently I had a call form one of these people to ask for forgiveness and to repent of this. They also asked for prayer for there sister who is currently in hospital with a stomach ulcer. I prayed and continue to do so but Our pastors told us not to encourage them to come to our church as they did not want them there.

They do attend another church which they have also had a history of causing trouble but they are always welcome back there, ersoanllyl if left to me I would let them back and try to help them again.

We have a new building that we are still decorating ect and my wife was told to tell her if she asked about the church that we are not open to the public yet. Which is only half true as we have been asked to invite people along even though the work is not finished yet.

I may be just Nieave but i do not think this is right.

Any feedback would be appreciated

Shaun

Hi Shaun, and welcom to the forums!!!
"caused major problems" can mean many different things,
and in some cases it is the right thing to do.

By major problems I mean they refused help during a conselling sessions and gossiped about the pastors everywhere untruths, and i have been told even though we were there friends they included us in this gossip. IThere were 3 of them alltogether and had even went as far as curseing the church and our pastors. ......

The more i write the more I am realising the pastors may be correct in there handling of the situation. I am way to nieave I think. Even my wifre thinks I am being nieave. :)
