Has anyone ever heard of The Maharreys...???? I think they are fantastic Just wondering if there are anymore Maharrey fans on board. Thanks! Amy

lol....I should have put that..sorry..... They are from St. Stephens, Alabama - (about 60 Miles North of Mobile) Paul Maharrey is the "founder" of the group.

Don't care for them. Observed them 'in action' one time. Came across as "better than you". Can't handle that.

Thats him I knew he sang with the Wilburns but I didn't know about the Men of Music.I enjoyed his singing back then.

The Maharreys had a hit back in the 90's with a remake of billy ray cyrus's hit; ackey breaky heart(i know i mispelled that!) it was quite popular for a long time. I seen them a few time's in concert and that werent that bad. dont know about now thou.. one of thier son's married a girl i use to compete against in talent competitions.

Here's a little update on them.... They are still going strong. They did have a couple huge hits in the 90s, however, they do appear in the Singing News charts regularly. The Maharresy are great people. I know that they live what they sing. They still have a live band and they have an amazing sound. I have some videos loaded on youtube so you can go and check them out if you would like. If you happen to be interested in booking the Maharreys you can call 251 769 1701.
