Hello, I'm Mark.

Was a member here eons ago (2-3 years ago). However, I no longer remember my old login name. Thought I'd sign back up as I did enjoy the forum. I rarely posted before, guess I could have been considered a "forum lurker."

Don't really know if I'll post often or not. I'm familiar with forums - belong to a couple of military forums as I am retired Air Force.

Hope to gain some knowledge, insight and different points of view related to God's word. Preferably without biased opinion or the absurd interpretation of the obvious.

I'm not argumentative, but I enjoy a good debate.

Anyway, just dropping in to do the introduction.

Thanks,

Mark

P.S. In case your wondering why I chose "Coffee Drinker" as my login name... I like coffee and because I don't know how to spell "capachino."

Thank you JordanW for the welcome.

It appears, from observation, of the other new member "intros" that the vast majority of the members and all the moderators just don't have the time to "welcome" new people to the forum.

Well, all of us are busy doing what we feel is important. So I'll just go back to polishing my armor too.

Again, thank you JordanW for welcoming a new member.

What? Nobody else loves me?

Maybe I should have said something like... "Hi! I'm so happy I found this forum! I have look to and fro, high and low! I finally found yo!"

I hope you all realize that I am just kidding around here!

Why should I - I waited for eons for you to answer my last question and you suddenly show up expecting a brass band?????

Since we've added clarinets and flutes, we can't technically call it a "brass" band any longer.

So welcome back. Don't lose your way again. Okay?

You did? What question was that?

Ehhhh.... forget it! You were right! Whatever it was.

Thanks for the free ride. It's a big deal that I remember what I had for breakfast this morning. I'm not much better with eons.

I notice you list your interests as Reading, Chess & Making Sawdust.

I already consider you a progressive man. If I wrote that, I'd put in another comma like we did way back when:

Interests: Reading, Chess, & Making Sawdust

I'm guessing you don't spell "dilemna" correctly the way I do either. Right?

...and miss out on all the fun from the local masters of diplomacy and expert theologians?

I like a good discussion. I do promise to keep it professional and on topic. If it begins to turn south then I fade from the thread. I do not wish to anger anyone.

I do like to talk a lot though.

This is already one of the most popular threads in this folder. If this keeps up, you may need to put in a few chairs and serve refreshments. You know, important stuff, like donuts and some good coffee.

JimboFletch, Tinkerbell, (notice the comma Jimbo! ) and Holybattleaxe! All coffee connoisseurs! Thank you for the welcome. I was beginning to wonder if I stubbled into the "Twilight Zone" for a bit.

I like the cherry or strawberry filled donuts. Especially the ones with all that... bad for you... sugar glaze on it.

The more the merrier! Maybe we'll start our own club? Just kidding.

EDIT: Still new ya' know. Try'n to get all the "Quote" stuff right.

I like jelly donuts just fine, but I also liked Cream Horns when I was growing up. Haven't seen one of those in ages.

Old-fashioned buttermilk doughnut for me please, and a strong cup of coffee.

Have you noticed that people don't spell doughnut the right way anymore? My spell check is telling me I'm wrong! What is wrong with the world today???????

Cream Horns! Those things are super! Ever try chocolate? I go to the grocery store (they have a "real" baker) and get them.

Been a loooong time since I had the old buttermilk donut! Oh... they were sooo good! Then to dip them in some hot chocolate or coffee! Yum!

Can't say I ever saw a chocolate cream horn or a buttermilk donut. But I guess I can't expect too much from a city where Marmite and Swiss Chard can't be found in any store.

Not that I know what Marmite or Swiss Chard tastes like, since they can't be found here.

KWIM?

Chocolate Cream Horns are delicious! You might have to go out on a mission or find someone on a mission of mercy to introduce you to one of the finer things in life.

Can't say I even know what Marmite is. Guess I'll have to use that search engine again.
