And with spineless repubs and other republicans loosing seats this upcoming election year no doubt that the U.N. will find what it is looking for, make recommendations to the U.S. Congress and next thing ya know, our sovereignty will be sold down the river. Several of the nations in the U.N. despise the U.S.A and will, of course, find what they are looking for, all in a measure to bring the U.S.A. down to their level. Just like the global warming scare. The U.N... we must withdraw from the U.N. and send them packing, let them have their offices in Cuba, or Venezuala or France... Get them out of here.

From that article: quote:
His campaign has increased turnout among black voters but has also turned off some white voters in a country with a history of slavery and racial segregation. There it goes....the insinuation that if we do not vote for obama, then we are being "racist". That has been made clear several times throughout the campaign, when obama has been "questioned" about statements and claims he has made......when someone questions something, then "BAM", you're labeled "racist".... of course, the people NOT voting for Obama, are not given the "benefit of the doubt", by merely CHOOSING to vote for someone else......perhaps another person who does not "subscribe" to Obama's socialist/marxist agenda...and turned off by his "class warfare" politics. Whether it would be Colin Powell, Michael Steele, Clarence Thomas, JC Watts or even Condi Rice....I would vote for them in a heartbeat over and above Hillary..... Would those who are members of the NAACP say the same? I suspect that support for any of those candidates I named would be "timid" at best.

Need to tell them to pack up and move to North Korea. What did they do in Rwanda: nothing.

Yet many liberal blacks have referred to Powell, Rice, and other conservative African Americans as "sellouts" and "Uncle Tom" or "Aunt Jemima" which proves even further, that the whole "racism in America" thing....and, NAACP....they are merely PURE politics, and really does NOTHING for the 'advancement" of "colored people"......it's there to advance a POLITICAL AGENDA....and, they could care less what happens to those who they supposedly "represent" and "support"....especially if their "political party status" is different from theirs.... and, it's the same thing with labor unions...

ORIGINAL: EStan Story here. In an election year. With a black candidate. Hmmmmmm...... Oh please. The UN needs to spend their time on worthwhile issues. So what will their conclusions be if Obama doesn't win the Presidency? That the U.S. is a bunch of racists??? I agree with what someone else stated. It's not racist to not agree with Obama and to think he's not President material. I don't agree with Obama's socialist ideas and it has nothing to do with the color of his skin. He's no better than Clinton in that regard. If a black man or woman were to come along and had the qualities I find desirable in a President, I wouldn't hesitate at all in backing them. I don't back Obama because he believes in abortion (I mean, this man is okay with partial birth abortions!!), gay marriage, and will negotiate with terrorist sponsoring states. He has yet to say anything meaningful about any issue, domestic or foreign.

Actually, that seems to be the conclusion of the United Nations already - this visit by "special rapporteur" Doudou Diene appears to be just the latest in the U.N.'s condemnations of what it calls "human rights violations" resulting from racism in the U.S. Diene's report on his findings will not be officially released until next year - but is it possible some juicy tidbits will be leaked before November? Perhaps what others are already referring to as this year's "October surprise"?

I voted for Alan Keyes in our (NC Republican) primary 2 weeks ago. He's a real conservative black American. Too bad McCain has it locked up. -Dave Just an old straight, white American veteran. quote:

I think there are certain European countries that probably be in more need of this attention. Germany comes to mind. Eight years ago we sponsored an exchange student from there and when he first came he used to make racist comments. He didn't understand why it was allowed that an African-American could live across the street from us! He said, "In Germany, that would not be allowed!" After a few years in the US you could feel his views on diversity changing, now his best friend in Germany is an German of African descent.
