I recently have lost a little over 70 pounds on my way to 100 and then evently 200, I am proud of myself for not taking the easy way out and getting a surgery but by hard work. I am just curious what have you all done that has made you proud of you.

I've been doing a lot of work in my backyard and planting all sorts of things. I'm proud that I haven't killed anything and that it looks so pretty out there now. I still can't believe I did all that. 'Course it took me 13 years of living here before I finally did anything in the backyard. Go figure.

You know, I had to think about this one. I can come up with a lot of reasons that I'm proud of my children or my husband, but to be proud of myself is a hard one. I can tell you that I'm super excited to be a part of my church's community of women this summer. I answered a call to spearhead a summer Bible study using Beth Moore's Breaking Free. Many of my friends had talked about wanting a study, but no one was willing to get it together. I brought two other women on board and we are going to be joined by several others in this study. Getting ready for it has been so much fun. I have been a maniac at Kinko's puting together member packets that include schedules, snack sign-ups, prayer journal sheets and discussion guidelines, name tags, etc... I'm not interested in recognition, but I guess it is fair to say that I am proud that I get to stand in the shower of blessing and watch as God works in the lives of the women in my community as they see His Word in a fresh way.

I did not that you're a smoker and you also dirnk. I used to smoke and drink in parties, but since Mom and youngest sis both smoke, I almost was going to turn into a regular smoker when the Holy Ghost nudged me and I had to stop altogether: neither at parties no with my mom and sis esp. during the afternoon coffee. Currently, I only drink socially when I purchase a glass of wine for Xmas or a drink a beer on St. Paddy's day. Is this considered alcoholism?! I hope it falls into a social drinker category. I hope you will quit totally. They are not just bad for health, but are always a waste of $$$. I will keep you in my prayers (((hugs)))!

Yeah Hen! I am still a freshman at age 50... Congrats to you. I am proud that one of my students told me this: He, "I really like drama class" Me, "Even when I fuss at you guys?" He," Sure, you are just trying to help us understand and be better people"> WOW, I am so thankful that God gave me that job.

Hmm... After seeing plenty of pre-meds/biology/chem./pre-pharmacy, pre-vets, and pre-dentistry students fall by the wayside here in their required sciences, I'm happy to say that I've completed all of my required chemistries and physics (almost all of the biologiies, but I'm a bio. major) and my gpa doesn't look like someone cut it in half. :) I can't say it's easy; I've seen plenty have to pack up their stuff and leave because of their grades...some in mid-semester. (They do NOT play here about academics.) Hopefully, this time next year I'll have a degree and be working on a PhD. :) The only other thing right now is that I always attempt to get back up when something takes me out... and what usually takes me out is a serious medical condition... or the problems caused by them.
