who is your favorite band(s) and why??

My favourite bands are Casting Crowns and Downhere. I like Casting Crowns because they always have a message to get across through their songs, the songs aren't abiout nothing, and their actual music is always very interesting to listen to. I like Downhere because they are Canadian(woot!), they are different from most of the CCM bands out there, and they are a Christian band, not just a band with Christians in it.

I like a huge variety of bands/musicians and genres.
And my favorites change constantly.
right now I'm in the mood for some Yann Tierson (classical/french)
I could tell you that stereotypically, I'm a rocker.
The only thing I'll never listen to is country music.

Good gosh, I love a lot of bands. But like Freyja, the favorite changes almost daily.
Right now, I'm enjoying The Rocket Summer, Fireflight, Wavorly, Sanctus Real, Addison Road, Building 429, and I don't even know what else. Haha!

i dont really know what i like very much. for example, i like dc talk because their lyrics are good. i like other heavier bands because i like how the heavier kinds of music sounds. their music rarely has very good lyrics, though.

I just wanna clarify that just cuz some musician says they are "christian" is never proven fact until their lives prove it.

RELIENT K!! definitely my absolute favourite band.
Barlowgirl, Superchick, Jeremy Camp (I spose he isn't a band but meh) Third Day...
I haven't actually listened to a lot of this lately...i should probably get back into it more. But do you know if there are any Christian dance artists? I've been getting heaps into dance/techno music in the last year (this time last year I hated it now i love it, go figure)

Yeah RK is my favorite band. Now I Know some Christian alternative-electro bands. PlayRadioPlay! is electronic/alternative and hes a Christian from Texas. His story is his dad dies so he started doing drugs and drinking nd landed in rehab at 14, but now hes a Christian and starightedge and is a virgin and so is his girlfriend madi. The bassist and drummer of Hellogoodbye are Christian. And Joy Electric is a Christian electropop band.
