11. "Objects of My Affection" -Peter, Bjorn, and John. This one isn't as popular as their "Young Folks" but it holds up better after repeat listening, while Young Folks wears kind of thin the 50th time you hear it. 10. Dizzee Rascal's song in which he samples "It takes 2" (sorry I can't name it or post a link as there's lots of swearing -it's from his "Maths and English" album). It's insane, though. The album as a whole doesn't come close to the genius of his debut from a few years back, but this particular song certainly matches it. 9. "Paper Planes" -M.I.A. I like the guitar feedback sample in this, I'm not sure what song it's taken from though. As a whole this album was probably my favorite and most listened to from 2007 -which says a lot as I don't like hip-hop that much at all. 8. ]"Nantes" -Beirut. I'm a sucker for glockenspiels and accordions. 7. "Release the Stars" -Rufus Wainwright. I'm also a sucker for overblown Phil Spector tinged Cabaret. The rest of the album this is taken from isn't all that great, but I loved this song. 6. "Earth Intruders" -Bjork. I like Bjork. This wasn't her best album, but it had several good moments, including this one. 5. "Crystal Cat"-Dan Deacon. This whole album is crazy. I can't post a link though as the video's very strange in a tongue in cheek way and would probably be misinterpreted and offend people. 4. Challengers -"The New Pornographers" -Not as good as their last album, but it grew on me as the year progressed and now it's probably my second favorite thing they've ever done. 3. Antichrist Television Blues -The Arcade Fire. Despite the title this has nothing to do with the anti-Christ, rather it's a hyped up and much darker channeling of Bruce Springsteen. Plus you can totally pogo to it if you are so inclined towards pogo-ing! What more could you want? 2. "Boyz" -M.I.A. This is hands down the craziest beat from 2007. I'm still trying to wrap my brain around it. 1. "All My Friends" -LCD Soundsystem. This one is an instant classic, and I've listened to it on repeat for a few months now and am still not sick of it. It's the best New Wave song from the 1980s made 25 years too late (Plus it reminds me a bit of Bowie's "Heroes" in the way it builds slowly).

Red - So hard to pick a favorite off their album, I chose Hide (the piano ending of that song is sooooo beautiful) and Pieces Seventh Day Slumber - Finally Awake album, Breaking Away Alter Bridge - Blackbird album, whole album rocks, can't pick a favorite Casting Crowns - The Altar and The Door , East to West, and The Word Is Alive. All their songs are so powerful and wonderfully written it's very hard to choose. When I attending one of the concerts I have never felt God move in a Christian concert like I did there. TobyMac - Made to Love and Boomin' (how can you NOT love that song) Thousand Foot Crutch - The Flame in All of Us, My Home, Learn to Breathe Jeremy Camp - Beyond Measure, whole album And many many more ...

Love is a Beautiful Thing - Group 1 Crew - I think about this song all the time. It's pretty good since I don't like much hip hop and they have a female vocalist...LOL What If - pureNRG - I love the harmonies on this song. I loved Jump5 when they were popular and pureNRG is similar. When The Saints - Sara Groves - Sara Groves is literally a saint. She inspires me all the time. I also think of the chorus line. When the saints go marching in, I wanna be one of them too.

Thanks! I don't post often, but will try to get on more frequently. I know most people will not have heard Marsha's music, and many will not agree with her ministry, but her message of God's love is constant and that is what's important. She speaks to those many don't want to acknowlege even exist. Elaine

Gotta vote for my fave...Neal Morse. He released a controversial album in 2007 called "Sola Scriptura" which was brilliant as usual but with some pretty heavy criticism of the Catholic church. Regardless, he has put out the four best albums by any artist in the 2000s: "Testimony", "One", "?" and the aforementioned "Sola Scriptura". Progressive rock isn't for everyone, of course...then again, neither is caviar. Neal's music is the caviar of all pop music. http://www.nealmorse.com

You would be mighty disappointed in the tone that some people took towards her. I've never heard her music or are acquainted with her ministry but I'll leave the judgement to Jesus, not the Pharissees. BTW, my favorite albums (since I can't pick one song off any of them) Flyleaf - Flyleaf Red - End of the Silence Project 86 - Rival Factions

Hopefully this is short enough not to violate the TOS. The Lyrics to The Miracle That’s Needed ---– Chip Davis and Marsha Stevens-Pino Well I have heard of angels and how they earn their wings Of swinging on the clouds and playing harps and things And how they watch us through the day and hold us in the night Find homes for homeless children or in the dark bring light. On TV they hold trembling hands and dry a falling tear, It seems whoever needs one will always find one near. But what of days, days that end with no angel we can see, What if that hungry heart out there was waiting just for me? (Chorus) I can hold that hurting soul. I can dry a tear. I could be there in the night to pray away a fear. Should I wait for an angel to hear that stranger’s plea? What if the miracle that’s needed is Christ in me? I look all around me and see so much despair, A world of dying people. Does anybody care? Well, I know there are wonders, a parting of the sea, A vision of the Virgin,a holy tapestry But oh it’s hard to hear Good News with children to be fed When half the world goes hungry with no place to lay their head. And what of days, days that end with no miracle to see What if that hungry child out there is waiting just for me? (Chorus) I can hold that hurting soul. I can dry a tear. I could be there in the night to pray away a fear. Should I wait for an angel to hear that stranger’s plea? What if the miracle that’s needed is Christ in me? The only miracle that's needed is Christ in me. The song reminds me that we are Christ's hands and feet on this earth and that as Christians we are called to ACTION. We must DO SOMETHING, not just sit back and complain. I saw that thread..I personally hope it stays dead. That was what actually had me register and put on my first post. It was deplorable the way people attacked. She also wrote a song in 2007 called What If They Knew that was AWESOME.

Right now my favorite is a southern gospel song by Karen Peck & New River called "Who Touched Me?" It's about the woman who was healed when she touched Jesus' garment.

If you think Amy Winehouse's Rehab is good. Check out her "You know I'm no Good".. I think it is 10 times better..
