Not sure if this is the right place to post, I tried to find the Maternity section and I can't find, still new here. Anyway, perhaps someone can help me with my baby?

She's 2 1/2 weeks old and we started her out on Similac formula, then (stupid me) switched to Enfamil. The enfamil as horrible for her. For a few days she just screamed, she wasn't able to make a bowel movement. I switched back and she did better for a day and now today again she's screaming and she's unable to make a bowel movement again. I've tried all that I know how- warm bath, warm wash rag on her tummy, we've patted, rocked and tried the vibrating chair. I've given her the gas drops as she passes a lot of gas but the drops are not helping. I feel so bad, I know she's in pain but I dont know what to do. Any help please?

Here is the link to the Maternity Ward subfolder:

Maternity Ward (link)

Baby Chat is the best thread to post in there.

Oh don't apologise, you did nothing wrong. It's just you are likely to get more mums posting there.

Have you called your doctor?

A constipated baby (and that is what she is), especially one as young as she is, needs to be seen by a doctor.

And like manda said....you did nothing wrong....just this is a slower place to get input than the other folder......

I took her to the Dr on...well I can't remember what day, but he said that she isn't constipated. He also doesnt know what is wrong with her. He thinks that either she has colic which its too early to tell, or she is allergic to the protein in cows milk. Meh.

He also changed her formula (again) and she seems to be doing a little better on this one. She's eating more and having more bowel movements. She's not crying quit as much but she wants to be held constantly. Is that a sign that she's not feeling well?
