I would prefer moderators only to answer.

MODS, NONE of these questions are in reaction to anything any moderator or member has done or not done, just some things I've always wondered about since day #1, so I hope all my questions are ok. I looked in FAQ, and re-read TOS, but didn't find the answers, if I just overlooked them, so sorry, my bad.

1. Is there a certain # of mod corrections one can get before they're "out," or is it just on a case by case basis? Also does a certain # of corrections erase a person from ever being a mod, if they wanted to become one (no, I don't want to become one, nor am I referring to anybody's # of corrections, I am just curious)?

2. If a post does get corrected, is it subtracted from the total post count?

3. If a person blocks a person does that mean you won't see their posts, or only that they won't see yours? And does the blocked person get "unblocked," if they started the thread, or will the thread just look funny to the person who blocked the person?

4. When the moderator's note says, "Don't discuss it in the community,"
does that include pms or not? I mean, I know you can't pm the moderator, but do they mean not to even pm other members about it.

5. Can moderators moderate each other?

6. Can a member report a moderators post (I have NEVER seen a moderators post that needed reporting, again, I am just curious)?

7. Can moderators really give extra stars to a good post? I've seen threads that imply such, but I wasn't sure if it was a joke or not.

8. I think I know the answer to this, but I need some reassurance. Having a thread moved to a different folder isn't the same as being corrected for something bad, right?

1) The mods are not authorized to discuss this.

2) I'm not sure, if a post is deleted then maybe.

3) If you block someone you will not see their posts. If they block you, you will still be able to see their posts. If you block someone you will not be able to read a thread they start.

4) You cannot discuss mod action with a mod. However if you discuss it with others, would it be gossip? ETA: you might be interested in reading our FAQ

5) Fritz is in charge of the mods.

6) Yes

7) Mods have the capacity to rate posts with stars.

8) No, having a thread moved to a different folder is not a "bad" thing. It just means it was placed in the wrong folder.

If you're complaining to someone, yes it would be gossip. I was thinking more on the lines if a mod corrected a person about something a person said to someone else, and person A realizes the mod was right, and wants to repent to that specific person. I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be gossip.

Thank you for all your very helpful answers!

Oh I think that would be very nice, actually.

Oh, good, because I HAVE done that, and I'm glad to know I didn't do something wrong.

Unfortunately I have had to do that also.

One more question from the question box here, if I may.

I was just wondering if each moderator is assigned to a specific folder(s), or do they all just moderate all the folders? If this can't be answered, I understand.

They usually pick 1-3 to focus on, however, they are authorized to moderate in any folder.
