Danke

Andrew and I got a good laugh out of this video, and an even more hysterical laugh by pasting some of the lyrics into this ecard and making the squirrel sing it using the voice of Nigel. I was laughing so hard I cried

We used some of those lyrics and sent Andrew's brother a happy birthday card narrated by the squirrel :)

I am going to try to teach myself how to crochet, using this site. I used to know how to crochet a basic single stitch so I don't think it'll be too hard to teach myself the basics.

After I get the single stitch down, I want to crochet this scarf for Andrew. I bought a skein of variegated yarn in fall shades which should look quite nice on him :) I'll need to buy another skein, so this one is really just for practice if I can't find one from the same dye lot.

Thank you :) I did begin the single stitch chain, that was very easy to remember. Now to begin learning how to make more than a chain. I've looked at the tutorial photos and I don't think this will be a problem, either.

Tomorrow I begin my new temp assignment! I drove by the location today to be sure I knew how long it takes to get there from here, the quickest route, where I need to park and what door I need to use to enter the building. I also know what I'm going to wear tomorrow.

I need to get something ready for lunch, and I might bring the yarn and do some crocheting during my 30 minute lunch. I'm not sure, I might just relax and read a book.

Oh, that's right! Tomorrow is the big day . . . x2!

Good for you for doing a test run.

Do you and Andrew have any birthday plans tomorrow?

I don't know...I got a check as a gift today and spent it on a lavender plant and pot for the backyard.

Andrew has said that he has plans, but I don't know what they are and they likely won't be for tomorrow as he said he had to work OT.

Oh, that video is just awesome, among one of "Weird Al's" best!

Nope, no such luck But Andrew did make sure I woke up on time to get ready for work and not be late :)

If he gets off at a decent time tonight (Month end is when he usually has to do overtime) we'll be going to dinner at Fresh Choice.

Yep, that's a good Weird Al video, that's for sure! Andrew's brother and SIL both enjoy Weird Al, so I thought it was a good choice for the ecard.

Today was a good first day at my new temp assignment. I really enjoyed it there and I can see already why it's one of the top companies to work for in the Sacramento area. They really do treat their employees well and it's a very pleasant environment.

The job is easy...I input checks into their system, then add up the check amounts with a calculator and compare the total to what I put into the system, and if it doesn't match, I find the difference and fix it so it does match. Pretty simple! And I'm getting paid $13.50 an hour to do it!

That sounds like a decent job. Can I come too? That's more than I make here in prison.

Happy Birthday, Kimberly!
