NOOOOO!!!

Remeber how the show was when Gibbs left at the beginning of this season? Imagine that, except without him ever on the screen. He never shall return.

Oh the horror!! Perish the thought!

Jethro and Abbey are my favorites! I love Ducky, too...but without Gibbs, there is no really strong authoritative character to carry the team or the show.

I think I'd give it a couple of weeks to see what his replacement was like if he did leave. Ducky is ok, Abbey is brilliant ~ I'd miss her ~ and I'd miss the interaction between Gibbs and Abbey. That's unique.

If "Gibbs" leaves the show, it would definitely lose a lot of its appeal for me. I would have to stay around for a while because of McGee and Abbey, but the dynamics would really change. Who else could they possibly bring in that would impact the other characters as much as Gibbs?

I hope they get things worked out ....

Well this is why I'd hang around and watch for a bit.

ER has survived without it's original cast. People said it wouldn't.

They might survive, but the ratings would probably take a hit. I doubt either CBS or Bellisario want that.

Yeah...I just think the show would fall apart without Gibbs. It's a hit show and the powers that be need to get their act together so they don't lose BIG TIME.

Sheesh. NCIS seems to be a "Star Trk" reunion party lately. (Maybe it was last season) Tim Russ (Tuvok from Voyager) and Connor Trinneer (Trip from Enterprise) were in an episode where Director Sheperd was kidnapped.

Tuesday night had on John Billingsley (Phlox from Enterprise) and Susanna Thompson (Borg Queen from Voyager).

Sorry. I admit, I am a Trekkie, and admitting I have a problem is the first step towards recovery, but what if I don't wanna recover??

And other than discussing this in the wrong thread, what's wrong with being a trekkie?

It is kinda bizzare seeing people from other programmes crop up though.

uh...nothing, other than sometime I find myself using sci-fi terms to explain things, i.e. quantum flux and dilithium crystals

But hey, I remember when Star Trek was new, back when Kirk's overacting was awesome. Well, it's still pretty awesome(ly) funny...

I don't think there's anything wrong with being a Trekkie. But, since we're discussing NCIS, and there's been a bunch of Trek actors on there lately, I thought I'd bring it up. I felt it was a relevant (albeit a little out there) topic.

And now, back to our regularly scheduled programming...

Think they'll ever catch that arms dealer? I can't think of the character's name, but it seems like the director is obsessed with catching him.

I'm beginning to wonder if the director had a relationship with the arms dealer in the past. Not sure what makes me think that, just that it does.

Still don't trust DiNozzo's girlfriend.

It's funny how they keep skirting around Abbey and McGee having a relationship other than friendship.

And will the two lovebirds ever get caught?

I'll miss not having new episodes this summer. Looking forward to the finale, though. Wonder which storyline, if any, will be completed.

I get that, too - nothing worse than a women scorned.

Me neither - just seems sorta creepy the way she changes her entire "being" when Tony doesn't respond appropriately as she sees it.

I think deep down McGee is all about her, but I think it sorta weirds him out at the same time.

Gosh I hope so, cause that strange little plot aversion is annoying to me.

I would imagine the Director's plot line, but they might throw in a twist or two with Tony.

Is it on tonight? I don't see it in my TV listings; I see the Country Music Awards instead.

Yep, have to wait another week. I can re-watch a couple episodes on cbs.com, but sometimes the last section doesn't run correctly.

I enjoyed viewing the pictures of the cast on the website, though. I looked at them for the first time last week.

Man, if that wasn't a screwed up episode. I'm not sure which was more disturbing, the fact that Jeanne's father is that arms dealer, or when the girl was snorting the heroin in the morgue. That's enough to make a grown man cringe.

I should have known that was coming! With a name like Jeanne Benoit, you just knew there was some French ancestry in the background. But I have to admit that I was taken aback by the revelation. And to think that he's willing to use his own daughter to get to Tony...now that is sick. And just why would it be Tony? Gibbs is in charge. Or does this stem from the fact that Tony was provisionally in charge while Jethro took his "vacation" in Mexico?

As far as the druggie in the morgue goes, I can see doing just about anything for the dope if your body was going through withdrawal - I've often felt that way about chocolate candy bars! - but even that was just a bit too much for me. I didn't cringe or anything like that, but my eyes did kinda bug out.

See, I think Tony knew all along who she was. He has been on special assignment for the Director for the entire season and I haven't seen any indication of the terms of that assignment, just the secret conversations they have.

Which is why I think he got so nervous about meeting her mother, etc. and now explains why he is "falling" for this girl hook, line and sinker. Of course, I think he really has fallen for her which will make it even more difficult in future episodes.

I was not surprised at the ending, but I am a little intrugued about the Director's father...interesting.

And the whole morgue scene was just disgusting. Totally unnecessary except for shock value as to how depraved addicts are....ew

Wow. I never thought of that. What I want to know is whether Jeanne knows that Tony is NCIS, that her dad is an arms dealer, and that her dad is after Tony. In other words, how far is Jeanne in on it?

Several episodes ago (the rock climbing one if I'm not mistaken), Jeanne had those pictures and was downloading them to her computer, right? If so, then she knows???

I'm so confused.

Sorry to come in late in the thread, but I like the show as well. Re: Tony and Jeanne, I honestly don't think he was spying on her to get to her father or anything. Too many times he was too distracted with her to do his job with the team, even when he wasn't with her or talking to her. As for her I could maybe see her being in cahoots with her father... somewhat doubt it though, not sure.

What I am intruiged by was Ziva being called out on having some kind of feelings for Tony.

Oh, I saw that one coming a LONG time ago. The lady doth protest too much! Or were you intrigued by her being called out?
