No director at all in tonight's episode!

So was that navy guy shot simply because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time?

And the whole deal with the brakes (which, by the way, is not technically correct. My husband has driven with failed brakes - NO break pads - before and lived to tell the tale!) didn't make sense to me. The son had put them on the car not to kill the girl but to what - kill his father so that he and the girl could live happily ever after??

One last question - that note from Jeanne to Tony: did it say she was considering coming back or NOT considering coming back? And why would he have to choose, if she was NOT considering it (which is what I thought it said)?

Sounds like he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

What don't make sense to me is that she was dead before the accident.

Looked to me like the note said that she's not coming back. That sucks. I actually liked that character.

Something I just thought of re:failed brake pads. The pad that Abby holds up to show Gibbs wasn't failed-yet. It had pad material left on it, which means it still would've stopped the car, but not passed state inspection. If the lining would have been gone from the pad, then yes, pad failure. But not in this case. I think they're trying to stretch audience ignorance in order to make it fit the storyline.

I think the "crime mystery" was there as an excuse to evoke emotional responses, as in memories, from Tony so the audience could share in his "processing" of events.

I think the note from Jeanne was lame. That's all she had to say? Make a choice...what???? Her character was always so chatty and let's explore our feelings, etc. so that little one-liner seemed just too simplistic.

Anyway, on to next week and hopefully better episodes.

Tony and Ziva's rest room conversation was rather interesting, to say the very least. I somehow knew, when that guy who was in there when Tony first entered left, that Ziva was going to follow him in. Especially after what had been said between McGee and Tony just before that. It just seemed logical to me. I know, I know, it's scary to me too! I mean, just think about it; Holly-weird is making sense to me. Maybe I need to re-think my viewing habits.

I didn't get a chance to watch it yet, I've been pretty busy with my Dad in the hospital. And I like to watch it with Larry, it's the one show we have in common. He doesn't even like the unit.

Anyone catch tonights episode? I liked the fact that Gibbs looked a little uncomfortable when his ex-wife, ex-lover (Jen), and current lover (Mann) were all together with him. I certainly didn't see it coming that Fred the computer geek was going to be the killer though I did wonder why Abby left the evidence out with him when she went to see Gibbs. And I loved it when she punched Fred!

I have a question about the ending. Do you think Mann will stay with Gibbs now that she has learned that he had a wife and daughter who were killed? It seemed to me that she gave Gibbs a combined look of sympathy and distrust right at the end. And Gibbs actually looked like he was going to cry when he heard Mann listening to the tape.

Abby didn't really leave the evidence out. She put it back inside the sealed bag, but left the bag out. There was no reason (at the time) to distrust Fred.

My girlfriend was trying to guess who the killer was, but she wasn't even close (She though it was Gibbs' ex-wife, then she thought it was the soldier that was leaving the widow's house after going over the death benefits). I've learned from watching this show long enough to "expect the unexpected" when it comes to the culprit. Whoda thunk it would be him?

For a while, anyway, I think the colonel and Gibbs will stay together.

I thought he might ask her to leave( well, more like kick her out) when he walked in on her listening to the tape, but it doesn't look like he will. I didn't see the Fred being a bad guy thing coming either.

I think that, ultimately, Gibbs would really like to open up to someone, maybe the Colonel, but I think he's got major intimacy issues...he's afraid that he'll lose someone again...and I can't say I blame him. Also, he's running out of lives, and he's probably thinking he doesn't want to put someone else through what he's been through if his number comes up.

I love Gibbs' relationship with Abby, though. It's so cute.

Loved Abby punching Fred last night....that rocked. I'd like to see Probie and Abby get together.

And, Michael Weatherly is still way cute!!!

The Colonel asked him why he'd never told her about his first wife & child being killed he said he was over it. I wondered when he left the tape out if possibly it was to say to the colonel okay I'm not over it.

I wasn't able to watch it until tonight.

I totally agree with you! When she rushed out of there, I mentioned that she should've put the evidence back in the locker. It's not that I suspected Fred of being the murderer, but I did suspect him of sabotaging the investigation.

Also, Gibbs almost always comes down to Abby; he doesn't call and have her come up to him. I loved the punch!

I thought the colonel had died. Who was it that died when those imams were in that one building to pray before that peace conference, and some jihadists were in the vacant room next door about to blow them up, and she went through a secret door to stop them?

Forgot about that. Good point.

No, that was another NCIS agent that died. Her team members had gotten killed earlier in the episode, leaving her full of remorse about being left. So she sacrificed herself.

Was it just me or was there a bit of a suggestion of a possible developing relationship between Ziva and Courtney, the FBI agent in the new episode last night? I kind of thought that throughout the episode and then at the end when Ziva was rubbing it in that she got her phone number and Tony didn't, and the look that Gibbs gave her definitely made me wonder.

I was glad to see Tobias back last night though he didn't have much to do.

Ugh...I hope not!

I think Ziva gets a little angry about Tony and his "player" thing to not be interested in him in a romantic way.

Yeah, I think Ziva wants Tony, but she's playing hard to get and rubbing it in that she's making friends with her.

Lord, I can't handle a lesbian relationship in that show!!!

I wouldn't particularly care for it either but it would make for an interesting plot/character development angle.

ew I guess I don't want it, cause writers/directors have no problem with lesbian relationships becoming a little more graphic on screen than gay relationships, which are more implied than acted out.

So...that's where I'm coming from - making the relationship central instead of the real story.

I can understand where you are coming from. As I said, I wouldn't particularly care for the idea but I do want to see the characters developed a lot more, except for the director. She needs to go. Last season it was primarily Tony who was developed, though he has digressed this season back to the hound that he was in the first three seasons.

I would like to see Ducky become romantically involved with the doctor that he was going to chew out last night then didn't because she was very attractive. She would be a good recurring character.

What would really be good on there is for one of the characters to get married and have a family. McGee would be good for that. He reminds me a lot of Bud on JAG. McGee could be put into situations similar to those faced by Bud.

Now as for Abby, they can't pair her up with anyone unless I am on the show as her love interest!

Yes! That was Dr. Weir from Stargate Atlantis! I nearly squealed like a little girl when I saw her. She was great! She's off Atlantis so maybe they will bring her on more.

And...Abby is my favorite - I'm thinking she would be an awesome Wonder Woman in the upcoming movie, but they probably won't consider her. She's really tall and amazonish...but not necessarily barbie-doll pretty. I just love her.
