Dear God, thank you for just where Nancy's mom is. I think she really is a brave woman. Sometimes we don't see the progress, or that the no progress, is also progress.
I work with an Autistic child and have learned to see the progress in areas that may not be the exact ones, we might expect.
I think this is a growing lesson for her mom to "take it at her own pace". So much of life we are expected to be a certain way "to be a success". Perhaps this is her mom's time to do it her way!! Sometimes it is a couple steps forward, and some backward. Since none of us is her mom and in her spirit and body,
I ask for patience for all in this situation. I ask for rest for Prayer Warrior, who needs it.
I pray you take over for Prayer Warrior, and she can rest and have Your Peace, in all this,

Thank you Lord for what your doing in her life. Thank you that she finally truly has
the desire to get well and go back to her own home. Lord bless her and comfort
her and renew her strength each day. Lord help her to continue to improve each

Lord I lift this mother, and daughter up to you. It has been a hard trial for both, lord please keep healing Nancys mom, make it complete. Thankyou for Nancy being such a good daughter, sticking by and honoring her mother. please bless her abundently for this. Thank you Lord Jesus.

Father,
Mom refused to dress or work with pt today. She is truly wearing us out, especially carl and me. Chris is focused on her horrible life right now and I don't even know if she likes mom, or loves mom, or what.
I am frustrated with the nh. They can handle nothing, yet mom paid them almost $6,000 of her life's savings to stay this month. They can't even talk her into doing a morning of physical therapy, even after having the whole weekend off.
What are they there for? They are not even professional. You would swear she was staying for free. They call us to handle whatever comes up, as tho we are they pros. They are supposed to be insightful and have the experience we DON'T have, for heaven's sakes.
I don't know what they are supposed to be doing for mom...they really make me disgusted.
Anyway, we need every prayer we can get for mom not to give up...I don't even know WHY she gives up. She can barely stand on her own again now. I feel so deflated about this. It has been five months with us 'children' who are in our 50's and pretty weary ourselves, begging her to get better, because I know it is truly a matter of the decision to do it. She has the equipment and the skill. She just needs the strength. But she just keeps spending days in her pajamas, laying really crooked in the bed like a rag doll.
then once in a while she is a fireball of energy...rarely, but it does happen.
I don't know WHAT to think.
Help Lord.

Father ! Help ! Please stir these people at the NH to start taking a genuine interest in her recovery and well being . Please God send that special ' someone ' in on her case that will touch her heart and be able to persuade her to do her therapy on her down days .
Oh Father I know there are special people who really have a way with the elderly when they just want top give up. Please please bring one of these people into her life . Please Father , You know this dear lady needs someone to motivate her everyday , even when her 'kids ' can't be there . Please Jesus , I so want to hear of her recovery and getting to go home. God I know You didn't save her life to have her just lay there . Please do a miracle in her body , mind , and spirit.

Lord, I agree in prayer with Beckylee. If there is another avenue you would have for her mother at this point, open the door and provide it for her, dear Lord. May your perfect will be realized in her life and the lives involved here.

I have been praying for your mom for a while---I just wanted to say mu hubby was in a bad accident 2 years ago---recovery is tough--my hubby Has TBI--tramatic brain injury, and a broken neck---he goes into depression very easily--could your mom be depressed?? It is a constant battle we face since the accident--hubby will never be the same--our life will never be the same--I will continue to pray for your mom and you---but realize life will be very different for her from now on!

Father bless this elderly mother with strength , hope , emcouoragement , and staedy improvement . Please put Your loving arms around her and let her feel Your love for her when she feels alone and hopeless . When she feels angry , upset and frustrated fill her with peace and reasurrance that she can and will get better.
Lord God I thankyou for all the ups and downs , for its in our weakness that we can give glory for Your strength ; its when we are up that we see Your hand of beauty in our lives doing Your will and working to complete the good work you started in us . I praise You Holy God for having carried Prayer Warrior , her mother and family through this . Heavenly Father
I know that you hear our prayers for this dear lady and Lord I know that
you want her to be healed and back at home and in good health. Lord
her family is at their end of the rope right now they dont' know what to
do or which way to go. The people who get paid arent' doing their job.
Lord they really need you to come into the middle of this whole situation
and turn it all around. Lord they need a miracle here. Please Father
open doors that are needed and make path ways clear for whatever is
best for this mother. Lord give her the desire to get well. For a while she
seemed to be doing better Lord what happened why did she just stop again.
Lord if she is depressed please deliver her and restore her joy and her hope.
Lord bring her thru this and help her to return to good health.
Lord comfort Nancy and her family as they get so discouraged at times.
Lord lift Nancy up and renew her strength each morning.

Dear Father,
Yesterday I cheered mom thru physical therapy, and she walked, however awkwardly, a really long ways!! My sis had visited her the night before, and my brother just happened to visit her again last night.
I was so excited, I bought some of her favorite food which has life-long family memories, and was on my way to take it today (a very long trip), and I called her nurse and asked if they could get her ready and give us a room somehwere where we could enjoy fellowship together.
She said mom was dead asleep and snoring, in her pajamas, and had been totally focused on a hemorroid so the 'nurse' gave her a narcotic pain pill and she was probably not going to wake up for hours. She missed today's physical therapy, which the nurse said she had refused to go to.
I about cried. I stopped at my bro's house and he was home long enough for me to drop the food off, as his wife was going to see her tonight....and would take it along with the 18 chocolate bars she had requested that I got her at walmart.
I just felt so deflated. One hemorroid, narcotic pain meds, and she misses yet another day of physical therapy. She missed mon. and now thurs., after being off all weekend, which is the norm.
I drive close to an hour just to get there, and I can barely keep up my own energy and enthusiasm to be the 'cheerleader' of a woman who quits about every other day.
HELP LORD> HELP HELP HELP!

Nancy I agree with KarenB are you sure your always getting all the truth.
My uncle is sick and back in the hospital and not doing well at all after they
found out one of the sitters was not giving him his meds or sometimes his
food etc. This is scarey that people who are paid to take care of sick
and elderly don't really care. I know they aren't all that way but some are.
Maybe you need to look into that. Also is there somewhere she could be
moved closer to you? Is that an option?

Father GOd Your intervention is so important and so very needed for this situation . Here it is , the weekend again . Atime when there has been no effort made by the staff to help her walk even a few feet . Please Father change this situation , as she seems to need daily encouragement and exercise . PLEASE make this weekend diffrent , make this weekend progressive and profitable for her recovery .
Father open up her mind to the truth that if she does not work on her therapy she will not recover enough to go home . LOrd You alone can get this important fact imbedded into her and give her the desire and strength to keep moving , exercising , and working toward the goal .
I still pray for that special someone to come on staff in that NH who will really 'click ' with this lady and be able to persuade her to do things she won't do for anyone else . Bless her with that dear person.Lord it seems like for 6 thousand dollars amonth this lady should have wings and be able to fly . Please make these Homes start giving the kind of care the residents should get for the kind of money they have to pay .
