Thanks for helping me be strong Lord.

When I called to ask her out, she said,
"I thought you moved out of the country."

Considering we just took her out LAST weekend, I just don't get it and I am so weary of her.

She is still, after all these years of having 3 kids around, spoiled and crabby, discontent and argumentative.

We took her to a darling little home town restaurant, and she complained loudly about everything in the past 10 years, including other races and nationalities. I about died. This is a new public thing and I was horrified!

Lord, I just need your help and that is today's prayer.

In Jesus name, I do pray.

Knowing it will never ever be different, but always wishing it was. She is sooooooo discontent and always unhappy, and has no reason...none....when she had the world's best hubby, she was exactly the same.

HELP.

Father, help Pray Warrior's mom (and the other mom's mentioned on this forum) to see how they're words and attitudes effects and hurts they're children. Father, this may have gone on for a lon time, but we know that You can do anything. Bring about a change in these mother-daughter relationships for the good, and in a way that reflects Your love. Dear Father in heaven,

Help me to keep loving the meanest person I know. Unfortunately that is my mom. Lord, because I have my own heart ache and my own very intense stress, I am fighting wanting to give up on her. HELP LORD.

What has given her a life long 'right' to beat up on me with words? It is unending and starts the moment I speak to her in person, or on the phone. She is, quite frankly, a person I would not ever see again if I were not related to her. I would finally walk away.

Lord....... H E L P. I have been crying out to you in surrender about my mom for what probably amounts to a lifetime. I need to see your miracle....plain and simple. Lord, I lay this down at your feet.

I don't want to work with it. It is like going to try to help a person who continually throws fire, or acid, or other nasty things on top of you, and then sits smugly thinking how right she is because she is the mother and I am the 'kid'.

Lord, have mercy.

I ask that you give the doctor's and nurse's involved in her care wisdom, compassion, and that You surround her with people who will be devoted to seeing her fully recover. Give her physical and emotional strength for the days ahead. Send those to her that will comfort and guide her to full restoration in her body. And Father surround her with Your protection. As her wounds heal, prevent any hinderence to that. Give her family the peace that can only come from You.
