SAN FRANCISCO - A Presbyterian minister has received the lightest possible punishment after being found guilty of violating church law by officiating at the weddings of two lesbian couples.

A regional judicial committee of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) ruled that the actions by the Reverend Jane Spahr of San Rafael, California, were at odds with the denomination's constitution.

But the court gave Spahr the mildest penalty it could -- a rebuke -- which amounts to a warning not to do it again. She could have been removed from ministry.

A coalition of parents and concerned citizens has filed a motion in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Md., seeking an order halting a public school sex curriculum seen as "gay" indoctrination, because it provides "scientifically flawed and politically biased" information.

"The Montgomery County Board of Education claims that teaching children to 'respect' transsexuality, homosexuality and cross-dressing is a 'civic virtue,'" said Regina Griggs, the executive director of Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays & Gays.

"But they refuse to teach respect for ex-gays or a child's right to not embrace homosexuality," she said.

Surgery and testosterone had transformed Ann into the Rev. Drew Phoenix -- still as liberal and laid-back as always, but now legally male. Most in the small congregation accepted their pastor's transition; they even threw him a renaming party, complete with birthday cake.

David said one of the bullies angrily asked him whether he knew pink on a male was a symbol of homosexuality.

The Episcopal Church is on the verge of a mass exodus if it doesn't repent of its approval of homosexual relationships, warn the leaders of three dioceses that signaled their intent this week to leave the 2 million-member denomination.

The dioceses of Fort Worth, Pittsburgh and Quincy, Ill., have stated that if they don't receive assurances by Sept. 30 that the House of Bishops will reject the consecration of bishops living in a same-sex relationship and same-sex blessings, they are prepared to cut themselves off from the Episcopal Church in the USA.

The Episcopal Church is a member of the worldwide Anglican Communion, which, led by bishops in Africa and Asia, largely has maintained traditional doctrines.

Gen. Pace: Homosexuality is Immoral

The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said Monday he considers homosexuality to be immoral and the military should not condone it by allowing gay soldiers to serve openly, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Marine Gen. Peter Pace likened homosexuality to adultery, which he said was also immoral, the newspaper reported on its Web site.

"I do not believe the United States is well served by a policy that says it is OK to be immoral in any way," Pace told the newspaper in a wide-ranging interview.

Pace, a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., and a 1967 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, said he based his views on his upbringing.

I wonder if he was raised Jewish if "his morality" would dictate that he ban eating pork in the military? Eating pork is immoral to Jewish people after all.

Maureen McCormick is said to have written a new book in which she supposely had an "lesbian affair" with Eve Plumb, the actress who played her sister Jan on the television series "Brady Bunch". There are 232,000 Google matches with link to sites that mention the words "Maureen McCormick" and Lesbian". Here is one of them. (Note: I've not checked this link for content. I hope it's okay. If not, I apologize. I had trouble with my browser when I tried to click on it.)

This makes me sick! Those "innocent" Brady girls growing up to do such disgusting things! How sad. Scotty, beam me up, there's no intelligent life down here anymore. Oh wait, he's dead. Pity.

I was in grade school in the 1980s and no one thought twice about "cross dressing" day back then. People just saw it as harmless fun and not something that was political or "gay" in anyway.

In the Calif. Bay area there was plans underway for a cross-dressing or "gender switch" day for seventh-grade students at Adams Middle School.
