I'm making a pasta bake, cheesy garlic bread, regular garlic bread, salad, chocolate cake w/ cream cheese frosting, sweet tea and my sister is bringing a fruity type dessert.

I think getting to boss is kind of fun too....

Yep...

Well, I am officially exhausted. I have a couple more quick things to do, then I'm going to hit the sack and hopefully I can wake up in the morning. At least I have very little to do tomorrow - I chopped up all the stuff for the taco salads, baked the pound cake, washed the berries to top the cake and everything is clean and put away... almost. Pretty much all I'll have to do tomorrow is put everything out, warm the refried beans and cook the taco meat.

Soooooooo.....

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the mom's!

Well, I made it out of bed this morning, but I'm pretty beat from yesterday.... I decided to go for a short bike ride (2.2 miles) instead of a run because it was a little windy... I didn't realize how hard it is to ride a bike uphill against the wind...

Just getting ready for church now, then rush home and wait for the mom's to arrive.

When I'm on my trike, I just walk the trike up hill (which in and of itself is not the easiest of things to do, but it sure is easier than riding it uphill . . . especially when there's groceries in the back basket).

I often wonder if the people who live in the houses (at the point where I get off my trike and walk) think I'm a weaklin'. They would be right, I suppose.

But man! Flying downhill is sure a whole lot of fun!

Makes me want to spread my arms out and go, "Weeeeeeeee".

But I restrain myself, because then the neighbors would probably sue me for medical damages due to their insides rupturing from the uproarious laughter from seeing me go splat all over the sidewalk.

There are a few routes I haven't biked yet because I know I would never make it up the hills...

And flying down hills is the absolute best thing in the world.. I have to admit that that is when my little daredevil side comes out (and I'm not much of a dare devil ). Just wish you didn't have to ride up them to fly down them...

Well, that's part of why I walk up . . . I only have one gear.

What kind of bike do you ride, Miss Giggles?

Sorry but when I read this....

quote:

Makes me want to spread my arms out and go, "Weeeeeeeee".

I was thinking of some places aroud here that could do that, but with the "drivers" around here it would be you covering your eyes, screaming, and then going "Weeeeeeeee".

ETA Which is why I'm a little nervous getting a bike to ride here.

Well, I am officially totally and completely exhausted, but the party was a hit. It's the 3rd year now and I think it has become a tradition. Of course, my Uncle commented "What are we going to do if you have a baby?" so I guess that means they really enjoyed themselves! I had fun ordering the guys/boys around and we all had fun chasing the moms away from any work (trying to get women to not put stuff away and such can be a challenge!). The moms all loved it though and we had fun, ate lots, talked, ate more, watch some really funny you-tube videos, etc. I made special drinks (strawberry lemonade and creamy italian sodas which everyone loved as well), showed off my garden (they all remember my yard of tumbleweeds and tackweed when I bought this place!) and we gave the moms their gifts (I even got a moms day card for being a "dog & cat mom") .

And now, the dishwasher is going, the garbage is out at the curb and I'm beat...
