Good morning Phosy. Glad you enjoyed your ride along. If you are still determined to go to jail come on down and I will accommodate you.

For some reason, that offer makes me strangely nervous. I'm not sure why.... Just a gut feeling, you know...

Somehow I believe it although it is my thinking that anything in the Northwest is more or less similar than that of the Northeast though. Then again, Maine is decided quieter and friendlier, as it Rhode Island and Eastern Connecticut as well.

Mrs. K is from Maine and went to school in Boston. I think that I would like to live in Portland. Maine is a lot like Tennessee, except that there is no ocean here and the people don't talk funny.

Maybe I should clarify:

I want to experience taking someone else (ie - not ME) to jail. I however, would like to avoid being taken (ie - me personally) to jail...

**phosy makes notes that if she ever meets Sam in person, she should meet him outside of his jurisdiction**

Silly me, I thought you were from the US state of Tennessee... Then you posted that last part...

Glad you learned the number of swirls on a Hostess Cupcake. I'm sure that's vital information in police work!

I didn't even know that they had swirls in the first place.

Well, DebbieLynn . . . I don't even eat them and probably haven't seen one in over 25 years or so . . . that's what I meant.

BTW, do you prefer Debbie or DebbieLynn?

DebbieLynne or Deb, please. I associate "Debbie" with my disability. "DebbieLynne" is who I am inside my disability.

DebbieLynne . . . Thank you for your very gracious response!

And although for different reasons, I can very much relate to what you just said.

"Sharon-Marie" is the totality of who I am . . . the person who survived abuse and came out not only a survivor, but a thriver as well.

And I'll make a note to remember the "e" at the end of your name.

And this is why I am "Fritz" and not "Fritzie". Fritz is who I am.

Y'all are just blessing me to pieces over here.

So many people say that names don't matter.

However, the actual truth of the matter is that names really do matter!

And so far, 3 of us have given very good and very personal reasons as to why they do matter.

If someone doesn't care what anyone personally calls them, then fine.

BUT! Gentle Readers, if a person's name is truly that important to them, then please respect that and call them by what they've requested, and not some other "version" of it.

Thank you for coming.
We'll be here all week.
Feel free to leave a love offering in the baskets at the back of the room.

You will always be The Lion to me.

(unless, or course, you command otherwise)

There are some people who can call me whatever they want. You happen to be one of them.
Additionally, that just tickles me.

Kate calls me "Fritzette" and that's just fine with me. Who else has been given a nickname by the Magnificent Ps103? (But she's the only one allowed to call me that)

That is so cute!!!

Nicknames are the exception to the rule.

Well, at least the nice loving nicknames are the exception.

Kate hasn't given me a nickname, but she and I share a special smiley message

If either one of us is talking to the other one, we end our posts in

Well, if anyone is bothered by what I call them, please tell me. I can't say that I'm particular about my name, but I understand why some of you are about your names and I want to respect that.

I was the kid who was always disappointed to not have a fun nickname. I felt like I was missing out or something!

My mom on the other hand, laid down the law very early with my Grandma that I was NOT Krissy... I was Kristin or I was Kris. Period. She hated how my dad's side of the family added y's to everyone's names!

For what it's worth I prefer to be called His Majesty or You Highness, or just Sir.

But I don't expect to hear any of those here.

So brilliant or Genius will have to do.

If my mom only knew....

Of course, I think most of you know what that nickname is properly pronounced, right?
