What are the key differences for Carol Of The Bells by GC and BFA? Or do they both sing the song in the same key?

They're in the same key. The only real difference is, that low G is so effortless for Tim. Keith has to work for it.

Yea, no one's quite like Jay Parrack.

However, if GC retains the lineup they have now and adds a band they can get back on track with solid song selection and not too much of a departure into progressive waters.

I think you are right on. If they can keep the lineup and get some good Gold City songs they will make a great come back.

i live in a town called DAHLONEGA GEORGIA where GoldCity Quartet got their start. They have had much success and no matter what as long as Tim Riley has any part of GC in any way they will always manage to come up with Some song or Some Project that is very marketable and is also a HUGE SUCCESS.

I liked the Ivan Parker, Brian Free, Mike LeFevre, and Tim Riley line up the best too... nothing against the other guys... they are wonderful! I just thought the above four had a wonderful sound....

Guys,

They are getting great responses at their concerts to ALL the songs of Revival. Especially Preach the Word, and Truth is marching on. Also as well for Look Who just checked in. So at live concerts it looks like they already have some GOOD Gold City songs.

They do have a good song with "Preach The Word" and others, but I'm waiting for another "God Handled It All."

Me, too!

(You know, one thing that could help them in that direction would be if they got one or two Kyla Rowland songs for their next album. She wrote "God Handled it All," and she keeps pumping out song after song at or nearly at that caliber. She's one amazing songwriter!

Great idea!

By the way I think the Kingdom Heirs swiped all the good Dianne Wilkinson songs though when they recorded "True To The Call." Can't you hear GC on "What We Needed?" Why don't they record songs like that anymore? Put at least 1 of those on
- please!!

I know what you mean, and a Dianne Wilkinson song like that would really take the new GC lineup back to the top. :)

You're right. In fact, I would guess that GC actually would have access to numerous songs just like that if they wanted them.

Having seen GC the last Sunday in September, I can assure you they are still very much a top-drawer quartet. I would say, though, that they got their loudest audience responses to some of the old Gold City Standards, like "I'm Not Giving Up, Robe Of White, When I Get Carried Away, and Midnite Cry".
