Thanks everybody.

Sorry I didn't come in yesterday. We had no electricity thanks to the thunderstorms, hail, lightning and sheet rain we've had. We had lights, but all the switches wouldn't work. Thankfully we have a gas stove for cooking. Got the electricity back on this morning. 36 hours with limited power. Got one circuit working, but the other wouldn't.

To answer your question, I'm 12 hours ahead of North Carolina right now, according to google.

Who says I'm upside down? You've got to come down under so you can get the right way up!

Ok, gotta go. Sorry this has been so short. Gotta feed Bailey and it sounds like more bad weather coming.

Take care everybody.

Hi Trish, you are actually 12 hours ahead, so we are the ones who are upside down instead.

I just wanted to say thankyou to all of my friends here on CW. (That's all of you). You've all been really supportive to me through everything that I've been through and continue to go through. Your friendship, prayers, support and love have been really appreciated. I thank God for all of you.

Didn't get to church this weekend. I was in too much pain.

I finished the new med that he wanted me to trial. Now the decision comes about whether I go onto the new med. I don't know if it's been really beneficial or not. I take the med with breakfast. After that, I get some pain relief. Later on in the day, it's like it's lost its effect and I'm really sore again. Can't take anymore though. Need wisdom about what to do.

I do pray you'll find a doctor that takes your condition seriously, Trish. Obviously, something's wrong.

Denny as my doctor? What would he consider my diagnosis and treatment?

It's the 2nd of July here, and that means today would have been my dad's 80th birthday today. The 7th year of his passing is a week today.

Rach, I can't say that I do have good memories of my dad. He was always drinking, or trying to do things to relax that didn't include me. But, he was my dad, so... I do miss him though.

Well, it's late here, so I'm going to go and hit the sack. It'd be good to get some sleep as it's been a rough day.

...... sometimes the death of a parent is hard to deal with... especially if there were other circumstances getting in the way of a good relationship with them.

It's cool how God made us... no matter how poorly our parents may have treated us... we still love them.

.... and that's how God loves us. No matter how poorly we treat God... He loves us....

Trish... we are imitators of God... we really are....

Thanks for sharing about your dad....

I hope you find some sleep...

Blessings...

<3

{{{{{{{{{TRISH}}}}}}}}}}}} . . . I think I understand a little of the ambiguity you feel towards your dad's memories. I loved my dad, and he did show me some good times, and provided well for us, but he was an alcoholic and pretty harsh at times, and as he got older, very bitter & hard to live with. I can remember many good times, but sometimes the bad memories are very strong, too. As Rachel said, we love them because that's how God made us; and we're thankful for that because he also loves us when we treat Him so badly, and are so unlovable.

Rest in His peace, Trish, knowing He died to give you just that. May He take away your pain today.

Are you sure about that? I would hardly say that is true in my case.
